    Until you are assured there is not two or more "square gaskets" in there you may find it easier to just take the whole thingie off and do it right that first time. No leaks that way. Working upside down and backwards and it not sealing is a pain in the ... So maybe just mark things good and...

    Do not use belt dressing on EDPM belts The constant velocity tensioner is suspect, change out that first. The tensioner very common to fail on engines, it will fail, just don't know when.     Got real tired of expensive crazy stuff so installed an Haldex switch with an LED in the dashboard so I could see if the switch was functioning. It did not indicate if rear brake lamp filaments were actually functioning but it cured 90% of my problems

    Harmonic balancer and waterpump

    If the harmonic balancer is in question at all as to whether it be good, it probably is failing and needs to be renewed. Should not be substituted for something that fits. It by design stops the engine from killing itself.
