I feel left out with my XM813, can I call it an A0? Then when I single it and put air brakes on it with ABS I can call it an A1 and then when I put CTIS and a Cummins 6CTA(zero of course) in it I can move on up to an A2.

You could start and build one from scratch or get an S-280 and put a lift system on it that raises and lowers the shelter.

May or may not make a difference but what engine? Since they are both Cummins what does the vendor for the engine say to use? It's nice to get advice from everyone I try to point people the guys who actually built the engine.

And make sure you jack the axle up and pull one side at a time and replace or you will end up with fluid out the other side. You could drain the diff first too. Why do Gimp and I know this? ;-)

My trucks came from the military with the standard military repair, MIG weld a patch on and paint over it. Any time I work on a spot that is my plan for them as well. My trucks look like the way they did in the military and are not museum pieces.

It's doable, fly in and drive a truck home. The guys from Texas flew in bought my Deuce and drove it home. But that was after we had gone through it and I even changed the alternator while they were landing. I included spare parts, gloves and a multimeter just in case and they had a belt...
