Do you just need that right upper bracket? That bolt should thread into the alternator it is an M10 x 1.5 bolt. But I have the bracket if that is what you need. Good deal too. Have any nice expired Hawaii license plates?
Oh I know a lot of thread counters. They are all fine counting threads unless you start counting theirs. Then it all go down hill from there. And what is this bicycle reference all the time. Are you still thinking of my gang mower pulled by a bike?
When I look out my window
Many sights to see
And when I look in my window
So many different people to be
Then it's strange, so strange
You got to pick up every stitch.
Seems like it takes forever to get things done while you look at a massive project. But if this was my main focus I could roll...
Be sure to turn the center that the link is drawing the threads in. I seen a few that were barely any threads holding the link together. You get the same results going the other way. Good Luck.
I painted with CARC for years. IMHO it looks good but it is unforgiving and a finger nail scratch looks like a gouge. It don't look bad if you want a truck that is lightly used. It is hard to get a smooth finish and dry edges are common. I looked at many that were painted at the build plants and...
Do you really think that is needed? I never seen a stock truck with a broke frame unless it was used as a plow truck. And I will add if someone was poor on maintaining the truck and drove it with bad axle joints. But never seen a stock one.
I went and picked up my front axle. All new inner seals and pinion seal replaced. Cleaned it up and painted it. Moving in the right direction with this project. I have a few seals and parts to pick up for the axle. Today was a 3 shirt and 2 pants day. It was hot and humid again. I was working...
You have bad grounds in the back and a bad socket in the front. Also check and make sure the 30 AMP fuse 1/2 way up on the right side of the fuse box is getting seated properly and sending the current out and thru the fuse. If you have + current all you need is a ground and all is well.
That tilt column is not stock on the CUCV. I would say change it to a standard CUCV column. But they make a tool to tighten the tilt joint. I done it years ago and then I changed the column. Good Luck.
I like the PA DOT laws. Keeps a lot of knit wits and unsafe junk off the road. We have annual safety inspections and I am a certified inspection mechanic. The Pennsylvania State Police monitor the inspections closely. They are a fair group of guys. Simple keep it legal and no problems. I still...
Pictured on top is slip over trash rocker panel. Bottom is full rocker panel a whole $20.
After a few days or raining and storm clean up grass mowing and working I hit the shop for a few hours. Planned last night but poured rain and I felt the need to sleep while the power was off.
Have the...
Using a test lamp check if current is going to the lights at the bumpers. They should have current in B/O and also the B/O drive lamp in the grille is probably rusted beyond repair. The grounds on every light need to be cleaned and re-grounded to a clean surface. I am sure you will break the...
Yea I would not shoot someone stealing anything on my property. I would remain safe and protect my family. But as far as going out and getting into a gun fight I would stay in my castle. Killing someone for stealing a CUCV or any property/vehicle is NOT justifiable homicide. Especially if the...
