This Friday and Saturday is a big swap meet and WWII battle at Brent Mullins Jeep Parts in College Station Texas, the swap meet and battle should are reportedly world class, as is Mr. Mullins's collection of armor and jeeps. COME ON OUT!

I think the top is Deuce/5ton, the racks on top of the pile are for a M105 trailer (I think), I need one side of that windshield, and reloader64 was interested in the Chevy topper and the troop seats (IF they fit a M35), but we were too poor this pay-cycle:(
If I had won any of those trailers at Ft.Sam last week I would have also been competing with you on those parts:)
The troop seats in that lot looked too short for a M35, what do they fit?
What happened when the trooper ran the door number? When that "plate number" came back to you he should have known what was up. I love it when a professional doesn't know their job.
We are trying to fill out a SF97 request on a XM818 a friend just got from Ft. Sam Houston and we need the year of manufacture. Is it safe to assume that if the "door" number ends in 70 then the truck was made in 1970? Should I wait till the Gridley thread is unlocked and ask Carnac? Should I...
Sounds OK to me, you might be able to save a few dollars buying one from GL but you really are buying a pig in a poke from them, unknown running condition keeps the prices lower than buying from an individual who has (theoretically) checked it over and has fixed the mechanical issues. Winch...
Man, those 818s are sexy, must resist the temptation to have one.......
Maybe Sarge and CD will let me play with theirs enough to keep me out of trouble:)
I put in two 2.5gal bottles of Rotella and 2 quarts of Lucas, drove it a few miles, shut off the motor and waited one minute as recommended on the dipstick and it read 2 quarts low, added 2 quarts and it has been just right every time I have checked it since. The two big bottles of Rotella were...
The TM says 22qt, mine took 24qt. I guess 22qt is the starting point then you "season to taste" for your particular motor:) I got my filters (indirectly) from the local museum but they are available from OD Iron or eBay
I wondered if barging it from Alaska to Washington state would be cheaper and easier than driving/hauling it through Canada. Would crossing the Canadian border violate the Non Export Agreement?
Did anyone here get the cold weather Deuce in Alaska from GL today? It has a some very interesting mods for the cold. If I was in Alaska I would have been a bidder on it, just too cool and unusual to pass up!
