    M35A2 Registration in Arkansas

@BigRig379 probably has the answer to this.

    Willys from CO to KS

I've got this trailer rated for 16000 lbs. 72" between the wheel wells. 16' deck. I'll be making a deck for it using 2x12's. Appropriate ramps should be easy. What's your time line?

    CRANK NO START

Brief blip on the wait light and then nothing could also be weak batteries with low voltage. I've seen that more than once. Even if they crank the truck ok.

Does anyone "float the gears" when shifting M39/M809?

30 years ago I learned to shift without a clutch. More recently I've learned not to, unless there's explicit need to do so. I've talked to big truck mechanics who have said they can visually tell by the wear patterns when a transmission has lived its life without the clutch being used ...

    The Adventures of LITD's genset

The parts that count are in good shape and/or upgraded: bumpers, dual disc clutch, brakes, steering components, tires.

    @od1984 should have the answer.

    New tire option for M939 (M923A2) 1991?!

    Rules have changed. You're fine.

What position is your rear PTO in?

    G177 tire swap on a M35A2

They'll rub on the inside. Just barely. On the heads of the bolts that hold the trunnion cap in place.

    Kudos to 98G

Hey! I'm just seeing this. I was glad to be in a position to do something for you, especially since you had just provided some expert consult on some generator wiring I was doing. A good time was had by all. Thanks

    The Adventures of LITD's genset

So recently I had the privilege of picking up a genset from Abilene KS for @Light in the Dark . A buddy and i were already going, and the plan was to simply add the genset to the load and drive the 50 miles or so and drop it at Fastenal and then go have a steak. I had some pelican type...

    New owner of MEP 802A

Thanks! You're in Houston. I lived there for a while. You'll probably get away with the 230 CCA, even on your coldest winter day. We've seen -32* F here in the last couple of years. My HMMWV was the only thing that started that day.

I'd pay to watch that :)

How to jump this 10 kw genset at the starter

Thanks. I guess the pic isn't clear. I went from the main positive on the top to the little skinny trigger post from where I had removed the trigger wire. Amperage was minimal. It fired right up. Now my buyer has gone silent.

M35A2 transported from Texas to Arkansas!

@fuzzytoaster replied to your other thread. My opinion- at this point you're better off driving it. The dual circuit brake system makes that a safe enough option and your whole attitude towards it means that this would be recreation and not drudgery. I've done a bunch of truck recoveries...

    New owner of MEP 802A

"If you do that" of course it won't. And if you, or someone else doesn't do that? Sequence counts. If you disconnect from the grid before you connect to the generator, there's no way to get it wrong. But it's possible that someone else who doesn't have such an awareness could be using your...

    450 CCA, or close enough?

    New owner of MEP 802A

Tell me about the batteries you found? To hook into your panel, you want an interlock that makes it impossible for both grid power and genset power to be switched on at the same time. $80 or so, and it could save you from negligent homicide charges....
