I agree with what WB1895 said, as far as what to paint it with.
For a template, use TB43-0209 for the pattern. It should be the same for a hard top, or a rag top. You will find it in the Steel Soldiers Resource section.
The link for that Technical Bulletin is here...
I know it doesn't do you any good now, but when I mark something, I peen it with a small punch, or small chisel. Just a light tap with the hammer, you don't want to stretch the metal, just etch a thin line, or some small dots.
As panshark points out:
Under 10.34.010 it says:
E.
For purposes of this section, the following definitions will apply:
Recreational vehicle. Every camping trailer, motor home, mini motor home, travel trailer (not used commercially but designed to provide living quarters for recreational...
I bought two 3" long bolts that match the size of the bell housing bolts, cut the heads off, and used them as alignment studs. Just be careful not to break them off in the engine bell housing, trying to get the transmission bell housing onto them.
That's awesome!
I remember when they brought "Glacier Girl" home to rebuild.
Glacier Girl - The Lost Squadron (Recovery of a P-38 from beneath a Greenland ice cap)
We used to take Boy Scouts to visit her, in Middlesboro KY, until she was sold to a guy in Texas. We were sad to see her leave.
So, GM, how is it going?
General Mcgregor, how is the trans transplant going?
In my opinion, you will find it easier to put it back in with the PT drive shaft removed, and the front drive shaft loose at the transfer case. I don't mind the extra wrench turning, and I like the extra room. It...
I don't know why the CDL is such a big deal. The only thing I can see that might get in the way, for some people, is passing the physical. Even then, the physical isn't that strict.
The CDL thing is a question that keeps coming up, for 5 tons, and for deuces. If you're not sure, go ahead and...
This has nothing to do with the engines in question, but many of the modern top fuel drag engines record enough information to tell when something failed.
For example: You can see the exact crank position when one of the variables changes, such as air consumption, compression pressure...
Wow, that made all the difference in the world, didn't it? Good looking truck.
I used 5/4 decking to replace our rails. I ripped it in half, then used a 1/2" radius router bit to bull nose the cut edges. It was a little thicker than original, so I used a planer to cut the ends down for the rack...
No, DRMS is still huge. What trickles down to GL is only the tip of a very large iceberg. It only goes to GL when noone else in the system wants it.
Would SS qualify under "Nonprofit and public programs for the elderly"? Or would it be "Special Category"?
We (BSA) used to be allowed to go straight through the DRMO. We can't do that any more. We have to go through the GSA and local SASP.
It is explained in the DRMS/DLA website: DLA Disposition Services
Here is the list of agencies eligible through the SASP: Eligible Organizations and Activities
I admit to being a parakeet and repeating what I have heard. There was a thread here about a year ago where someone warned not to use ny-locks for this specific application.
It was proven true for me when I had a new set of ny-locks work loose on a backhoe drive shaft at around 200 hours of...
What TSSOUT said.
You can get them anywhere they have a good collection of nuts and bolts. Just be sure they are at least a grade 8 or 9. I got mine at a local NAPA.
Not really.
You could probably take a small inspection mirror and see if there is "meat" left on the disk, but it wouldn't show you much.
To do a proper inspection, you would need to take the pressure plate off. Honestly, it only takes about 15-20 minutes to take it out and put it back in.
I...
If by "box" you mean it is an M109, then it is in place of a regular bed. You would have to replace it. It is possible someone on here would trade a good cargo bed, if the 109 box is in good shape, but there are no guarantees.
The truck in the picture is an M109A3:
I've never tried rain-x on the inside, but they make a product to prevent fogging. It is made by the same company that invented rain-x.
