    Troubles with M35A2

An insulated battery box does WONDERS in the winter too. Remember that lead-acid batteries have to keep a certain temp (around 70-80 I think) to stay "healthy". They do most of that on their own, almost like burning calories! They'll use their own heat and energy to keep each other warm during...

Heated fuel tank project, biodiesel, WVO..

How about silicone Radio Control fuel line? I've had really good luck with that stuff.

Feeler: Turbo kit for the Diesels

Yes, if you take the silencer ring off.

Pulling a gooseneck trailer with a Deuce

And it won't be able to power the field coil, right?

Feeler: Turbo kit for the Diesels

Again, something I need to look at. However, the stock engine does put out 425 ft.lb at sea level from the data I have. From research here on the forum, there are people cranking 15psi on the stock turbo which is a boiling hot charge, and totally out of the efficient range, but looks like 515...

Feeler: Turbo kit for the Diesels

I'm not sure yet. I still need to determine how well built the lower end is. I would recommend running about 12-14psi as a max for now. Let me blow apart my truck first. I'm quite sure from what I have seen, that you could handle 15psi with the flow of a HX-40W without hurting anything. IF you...

Feeler: Turbo kit for the Diesels

you'd be looking at stock numbers with 4-6 psi and up to 325 hp and 600 ft lbs at 16 psi. Cooler EGT's across the board, increased mpg if you drive it properly.

Fun, Fun, Fun, another deuce is on the way!

I did, but I found another.. HAHA I'm not sure if the price is going to come down on it enough for me. I didn't realize that it didn't run and I am facing a $1200 trip back, and $1000 for the parts it needs. I may just keep looking. There is one for sale in Colorado City, OK which is right...

Pulling a gooseneck trailer with a Deuce

A simple resistor in line with the brake triggers should drop your voltage to 12V, I suppose. Another more complex idea would be to wire a 12V bus off of a single battery, and add in a cheap 12V alternator from an older car. Brackets and v-belt should be really simple with some welding and...

Heated fuel tank project, biodiesel, WVO..

Oh - and I wanted to ask, how do you handle the fuel return? Do you have any worries about the VO getting into your diesel supply and tainting it?

Heated fuel tank project, biodiesel, WVO..

I found an inline heater that used a glow plug on a 150 degree thermostat. The ad said that you can use a high delivery pump to get it to the heater, and then straight into the fuel pump... Sound reasonable or am I insane? I thought a glow plug on a thermostat would be a great idea becaue it...

Turbo rebuild- anyone ever done theirs?

Bjorn, Can I get a copy of that tm? $$?

Fun, Fun, Fun, another deuce is on the way!

Here it is.. LOL Probably can't carry 2.5K and it doesn't seem to have the 427hp as advertised, but $19.00 is a steal! No seriously, I have one coming in as soon as I work out the logistics of going to get it, repairing a gunky fuel system, and driving it home... I just thought a little humor...

Turbo rebuild- anyone ever done theirs?

If you need someone to rebuild it let me know. DIY is not that hard, given you have the proper tools and measuring devices. That turbo looks hammered.

Feeler: Turbo kit for the Diesels

It can be made, and you will maintain the same reliability with about 7-8 psi. I'd need your engine model from the plate to help more.

Bob, call me at 720-629-4747 when you start working on your truck. I love doing that stuff and would be happy to buy the beer and give a hand.

    M35 Top Speed increase?

What do you get? About 7-8 with the crane hanging into the wind, or is it like a canvas rig at something like 10-12?

    M35 Top Speed increase?

I'm thinking about increasing MPG at 55, not breaking the sound barrier... Errr, I guess with the deuce it's almost GPM.... LOL
