I thought it went well with some of the seabee paint on the pipeline bed. I have been thinking about the markings, but I have not made up my mind yet. I will be painting the base, but just didn't have time to get it clean/prepped this time around.

I have had to use a prybar to rotate the driveshaft between the trans(in 5th gear) and the transfercase(in N) in order to get it lined back up (seems easier to get the HH out than back in) I would definatley draft a second set of eyes to watch for the red tooth.

I don't see a problem with it from a strength perspective, but I do have some questions... Does it have a provision for a PTO? (if so, left or right) How long is the 2wd version? Do you already have/ have a line on a tranny? If not I would take a close look at M35-Tom's gears set.

If it is a compressor truck, the data plates in the cab probably won't say anything other than M45 (the desigantion for cab and chassis).

It depends on the size of the boom. There are knucklebooms out there meant to be mounted on a 3/4 ton pickup (there are also booms that would overload a bridge truck)
