I have the same problem on my m1008. I thought it was injectors but it wasnt. I had pump rebuild with 10 % increase and truck runs like a watch, No mirror shaking or rattles.
When I just changed the water pump which I got for 45 bucks of fleabay. I also changed balancer,timing cover seal, gaskets,hoses, thermostat and belts. All said under 150 bucks! Its a good time to look at lift pump! pump I used happen to be a NOS GM.
permatex makes a thread sealant or you can use pipe dope. remember everything is wet and when you pull bolt coolant is going to start flowing so you have to be quick. two bolts on the bracket. if I recall the one that leaks is a stud with nut built in so you have to remove the bracket.
In the back where the grounds attach there are 3 grounds, 1 to buss, 1 to body, 1 to wire loom. And I just installed a IP ,fuel, and electric pump today. You just have to take your time and dont rush or youll burn up your starter. I only cracked open one injector to know when fuel was there and...
Is it possible you shook the diode loose that is taped to the wire harness behind the volt gauge . Mine wasnt seated right when I removed my cluster. And one of my gen liights were always on,just cant remember which one. Its worth a shot!

Guys , I have one of the 09 s that mike had done. You do know this thread is 5 yrs old. I can answer any questions by looking at install but the weather is crappy today. I can take a few pictures when it clears up.

Ive used the pressure method with prybar and cutting off the heads also. Which ever works! I got new rivnuts from grainger, box of 20 for 10 bucks. I used a bolt with two nuts to install. its easy!
