    tire size = mph?

I have experienced brake failure on my own Deuce, and THANK GOD I was in a parking lot. Still terrifying. Im not however saying you should not do as your considering. An overdrive kit and 395s sounds like 1/2 of a GREAT plan, and should put you right around that 65mph/2200rpm sweet point...

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

I just had a complete idiot moment, I started to PM you to ask about the remaining A3 wheels, (Because your now only using 6 out of 10, right?) and then remembered that A3s only had 6. I felt silly and thought you may get a laugh out of my moment.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Let me get my **** :soapbox: and  Ok, this thread is about finding the differences between an LDT and an LDS, correct. However, it has shifted more in the direction of finding out what the RELEVANT differences are. Why does one make more power than the other? What would have to be...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I believe someone also stated that LDS engines are still Superior with the C or D turbo. The injectors have also been mixed and matched. Leaving the pistons and injection pump. My money is still on that injection pump.

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

BM, I have questions. You said you went with the A3 rims for the 395s? I have not done a hole heap of research, but after reading Shovel Head Mikes post I am very curious. What are the differences between the A2 wheels and the A3 wheels? I was under the impression that any for of bead lock...

What would happen if you advanced the injection timing?

That sound like a terrible frustration.... Tell you what. Ill trade ya :p

What would happen if you advanced the injection timing?

I do not disagree, however, I do plan to turn up my fuel. I posted this thread because I didnt understand why the injection timing was not discussed along with trying to reduce EGTs. I didnt know why it was discussed for so many Diesel engines, but not this engine. Now I do. The engines are...

What would happen if you advanced the injection timing?

(From what I have read) This will increase your power, at the cost of your engine being multifuel, wouldnt it be so much easier and cheaper to install a water injection system and crank the fuel up more? Or install an intercooler? I think you would spend less money and have MUCH more power...

What would happen if you advanced the injection timing?

Your absolutely correct, but I get a kick out of running it. I filter down to only 2 microns, and separate water. My trucks a bit hard to start, but I have a few theory's on that. Till I move I cant work on it or drive it anyway! If I did blow up my Multi, heaven forbid, it be a tough call...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

No higher math needed from your smart phone data. It will give you a number that it understands your HP to be. This number would be inacurate, but thats ok. We would want to do three "pulls" and then take the average score. I would start by adjusting the fuel screw to exactly what the TM...

All the stuff I did to my deuce, right here

My father and I were both fascinated by this. What type of rod have you found to work the best? Also, we were curious about the level of penetration into the metal?

What would happen if you advanced the injection timing?

From everything I have read, it would ventilate the block and not be able to run on WMO. I was just wondering if this was a legitimate way to decrease egts

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

If you have an android smart phone, I know there are apps that can measure your acceleration, and although I wouldn't trust one as a dyno by itself, you could absolutely use it to compare a before and after. Sadly I dont know the apps name, I would search "Dyno"

    m35a2 four speed??

I split the lower gears to keep from having to try and get it back into the non synchronized 1st at a light :)

    m35a2 four speed??

A few possibility's come to mind. 1: Its been swapped (I wouldnt want an A2 with a four speed non overdrive 2: The owner considers it a 4 speed with a "Granny low" (More likely) 3: The owner is simply mistaken If the owner thinks its a 4 speed with granny low, then you need to be warry...

When I spoke with Brad he said $200 per 395s

2011 Wa State Mini Rally #5

Scott, I would absolutely love to join you on this fools errand. I will hopefully have 395s and my fuel turned up by then, which would make it a much better trip. As far as comms, a cheap and dirty way to do it is the 15 channel hand helds from wallmart. Up to two miles on open road...

What would happen if you advanced the injection timing?

This thread is so I can farther my understanding. I know that a Multifuel is VERY different than a 12v Cummins or a Detroit 6.2. Im expecting there to be a simple reason why this will not work on our trucks. Advancing the injector timing in other diesels will result in EGT drop, which...

2011 Wa State Mini Rally #5

From what I understand? Your hard pressed to get $350 a month for Plasma, and I can burn more than $350 of fuel per day in my truck. Going to have to pick up some hippys along the way. Or do experimental drug testing. (Dont operate heavy equipment, so nothing bigger than a Deuce :p) Oh...
