The pic you posted looks to be a non isolated alternator. That means it's not original and probably does not have the tach output.

Nope, neither of those.

The tach output on the alternator is not going to be attached on that side. You could use the brown wire from the other side to get it into the cab. It is not the wires you posted pic of. It is a single wire that pushes onto a round pin.

There should be some good threads on this topic, and yeah it's covered nicely in the TMs.

I've done several similar to this with success. No fuel spraying as it should be firing as it runs.

Actually, M1010s had an ac compressor mounted on the engine. All of them.

Are the TMs available for these vehicles? I like to look up the part number or nsn then google that. Parttarget will tell all the manufactures and thier part numbers by nsn.
