    roadtrip/convoy? so,Me,N.H. ,Mass

Hey, sounds good- we can stop at the surplus store on Rte. 16 then maybe to the lonely Bull for lunch. Email or PM me with your phone #, we can try to get sumpin' set up.... JK

Your help would be greatly appreciated

I would agree with BFR, way too much money for what you describe. For the money he's asking (or maybe a bit more), you should be able to get a mostly complete, running truck that needs only a little tinkering or odd bits to be a decent rig. "Ran when parked" too often equals big headaches (and...

One Piece windshield and exhaust stack muffler

So, anyone ever dealt with this company before? Any idea what the story is? Seems too bad, it's the only site I've seen that offers locking door handles for the deuce, and the 1 piece windshield is kinda cool too.

    Schott Enterprises

Yeah, I can second Bruce's comments. He doesn't want to negotiate and has made it clear he's not in the parts business. (He will, however, sell you a parts truck.)I've heard he sells mostly to bigger companies- mining, construction, etc and in larger quantities, and not too interested in dealing...

    Schott Enterprises

I've been there and talked to the owner/manager. He is a Harley dealer and has gotten into MV's in a big way. I work on the railroad and it was quite a sight to see a dozen or more flatcars loaded with humvees rollin' through town. We parked them on a siding in Lewiston and they were trucked to...

    Question on very strange behavior

Yeah, this happened to me a cupola times in the service when I was a motor pool mechanic- 63 Bravo. One time we were pull-starting another 5ton and somehow got it running backwards...5 speeds reverse and 1 forward, very wierd. Next time it happened, was driving a deuce, forget the situation but...

    Dealers of 24volt Accessorie Lights

Jeepthrills + list- Although I have usually had good luck at NAPA, went the other day to get a 24V headlight (4863) it really stumped the guy. Said it cross-ref'd to a 4860 which has the 3 spade lugs on back, not the wire pigtails. Needless to say, I left empty handed. Guess I'll add that to my...

    13/16" budd substitute?

Hey DR- That's a roger!! Small world, huh?! Always glad to meet another NE sports fan. Looking at your info, seems like you got a young train nut in the house. When you guys come east to visit, we should get together. I work on the RR and can show you & Nick around the place. I'm in the book...

    13/16" budd substitute?

Speaking of sockets and lug nuts n such, here's one for ya...When I went to Dr. Mo to pick up the deuce, I had to remove 2 outer duals to get it on the trailer. My 3/4" drive socket wasnt quite up to the task, so I stroll over to the motor pool building to see if I could beg a bit of assistance...
