Anyone tell me how to safely remove the volt meter pictured here?
seems to turn a little either way and i dont want to damage it.

problem solved ... the 10 pin connector had been forced togther and the last two pins (brake and tail light) were squashed together ... it must have blown the brake fuse
because the prev owner had replaced it with a 30A from 10A.... it must have gottten extra hot and fused the plastic shroud...
Ok so i'd been working extensively repairing a wiring fault with the 1009 for two days with the radio on and lights on off on off whilst diagnosing the problems ... finished up went to crank it up and when i held the glow switch on it made a popping sound and the dash lights dimmed .. it began...
Ive swapped out some of the lamp holders in the rear and in the side markers which seemed to be intermittent .. i also found the stop lamp fuse had been changed to a 30A from 10A
When i study the wiring diagram to look for a short somewhere ive traced the orange and blk/wht from the stop lamp...

Finally got a 1009, need an inspection and have problems with wiring! The running lights at the front appear to have issues with the bulb holders
amongst indicator issues at the rear..everything works as it should until the headlamps are on then stop/indicators dont
