Thanks, I just dont understand why its needed. If it was not there, what would happen? I assume its so you will not burn your hands. I cant think of a time when I would be holding on to the exhaust.... Has anyone ever said "thank goodness that heat shield is there, or I would have burned my ??"

I have a question about the heat shield, what is it for? I dont have one, and dont see the need. Its not an area where you put your hands, not too close if I am working on the engine. What do they sheild?

I have seen people comment that a "Turbo does not increase power, it was done for emissions only". Is it possible that a turbo could NOT increase power? Not relivant to a LDT/LDS conversation, but it doesnt make much sense to me.

How are these motors rated? I assume its at the Flywheel, or is it at the rear wheels?

I just mix gasoline at the ratio I feel like. During the summer I use very little, maybe a quart-ish/4 gallon WMO. During the winter, I use maybe a gallon / batch. Truck runs fine. Its harder to start when cold. I also buy straight Diesel in the tank sometimes during the winter. Maybe 50/50...
