I have 7 395/85/20 Goodyear MVTs for sale. They have approx. 70%+ tread left. asking 700 for all 7.
Also have 3 steel 20" MRAP wheels, will need new O-rings best offer for them.
Was planning on going to show but looks like I won't make it unless someone is interested in these parts and needs me...
Unplug your return line. If your in tank pump is working properly you will have a constant stream of fuel coming back to the tank as it runs.
As others have said. Change the filters, start there. Does it only idle for a minute or if you give it some pedal will it stay running. As one of the...
I've heard this before Gimp...I think Rustystud may of mentioned it to me when I replaced my compressor last summer. I'll have to try it next time, has to be easier that using the wrenches.
Sorry I left that portion out. The MVTs held up great they are about 70% tread left. I haven't measured it exactly but it looks approx. 1/2" depth on the tread blocks. I have to see if I can find out how deep they are new and measure these.
The 395s I bought through gov liquidators. Bought 2...
Hey Mike!! How are you? Good here....about to get flipping buried in snow...lol!!
I just went with a zipper style boot. Since I have lock outs and haven't driven the truck in the rain, snow, mud, etc the hub area was clean with no contamination or evidence of gear oil. Didn't feel I needed to...
Here are pics of the truck all done. Finished the last 2 tires this past weekend...just in time with the biggest snow storm in year coming...lol. Have 8 total. 6 on truck and 2 spares.
If anyone is looking I have 7 Goodyear MVTs, 395/85/20 and 3 steel MRAP wheels for sale.
Wow, has been quite a while since I posted here. Have been pretty busy. Memorial day weekend of 2016 we sold our home and we moved at the end of August of 2016 to a much needed larger home with more land and space. Plus my oldest graduated high school and started college at Virginia Tech via the...
I understand your frustration. Did you double check the valve in the valve stem? Make sure it is tight and seated correctly? How about filling it with air and dropping into a kiddie pool full of water? See if you see anything coming off it.
I'm in the process of removing my 395 MVTs and replacing them with new XZLs. Mine are mounted on A3 rims on the truck but the new XZLs came off of a mix of FMTV wheels and MRAP wheels. I agree with Ruststud. Leave it tubeless and find the issue. Unless you have a hole in your tire it can only be...
Looking forward to the show. Last year was the first year I brought my deuce down and plan on doing the same this year. Always so much to see and many familiar faces to catch up with.
If anyone is looking for 395 tires. I will have set of 7 Goodyear MVTs, 395/85/20. 6 are 80% tread or better...
Great write up. Thanks for the idea!! I replaced my hinges about 2 years ago. I assembled and installed the hinges with anti-seize in them. I would figure that you could just add the grease fitting if your hinges are tight. You wouldn't get the benefit of the bushing but be able to grease them...
I mounted mine in the bed of my deuce. Had a buddy of mine weld up the mount for the lunette end and used bumper shackle mounts for the foot ends. Worked great, nice and secure. I usually have my cargo cover on so it is kept clean and out of the weather. I keep a heavy tool bag at the foot end...
As long as your front axle is engaged, either with no lock out hubs or the lock outs engaged, you can shift it into 6x6 on the fly. Personally while I will shift the transfer case from low to hi when accelerating under a load, I don't shift from hi to low while moving but that is my...
Agreed, If I wasn't able to get them from Chris I would of taken them to my local hydraulic shop and had them made up. I would of done the same thing. The good thing is that these rubber are new production and will likely have a very long life...if not the rest of mine or my truck's life as well.
I was able to replace the oil lines without removing anything. It did take much longer than you would think because of the tight fit but is doable.
The braided hose that comes off the compressor is the main line that feeds the air tanks. I believe it is 1/2" high temp hose with stainless wrap...
The other job I got done was removing my compressor and compressor mount and installing new gaskets, especially for the mount. About 2 years ago, I pulled the compressor and replaced a leaky base gasket. I could kick myself because I should of pulled the mount then and replaced that gasket as...
