    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

Thanks for the heads up. Have not installed those yet. but will be sure to make sure they are clear before installing. On another note I finally got to take the truck out for a drive. Brakes work great. Pedal feels good, has a little different travel feel then beforehand but who knows how long...

I know right....took me a few minutes trying to take those pics before I grabbed my niece who was at the house for an extra hand....or two to keep the hose straight.

Here is the pic of the middle piece. The piece that goes up to the injection pump is approximately just under 13" The elbow on that piece is a 90 degree elbow and it is just shy of 1.5" in length.

Here are some pics of the fuel line pieces with a tape measure to give an idea of length. The short piece is the elbow coming off the primary filter. It is a 90 degree elbow and approx. 2.75" x 4.5" The next piece is the middle piece that comes across the crossmember. It is approximately...

Here are some pics of the fuel line installed and the extension I had to do for the filter output. The extension was just 2 - 3/8" npt female to male fittings. Everything worked out great, line doesn't leak and is up out of harms way.

I'll be putting it together later today. Then I'll post pics of it as well as measurements. I figure with the measurements if anyone else likes the way the hose is run and wants to copy it they can.

Here is a pic of the 45 degree elbow on the injection pump. I rotated it far enough so it faced forward. The line fits almost perfectly. Unfortunately what I didn't think about was that when I shortened the part of the hose that lays on the crossmember is that the fitting sits right against the...

Couldn't load all the pics. These pics show it installed and you can see why I had to shorten the 2 pieces. 2 pics show from under the injection pump and the junction by the primary filter.

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

One of the things I found as I was working on the truck was that under the front crossmember sat my front axle brake line, part of the wiring harness and the fuel line from my primary filter to the injection pump. So I planned on removing the brake line. Peashooter told me that the older trucks...

Thanks Aaron, I ran all the axles and the air pack vent to the breather. I kept them separate until they terminate at the breather. So far all the airlines have worked out good. Brake lines will be here tomorrow as well as my new injector lines. I also ordered a new set of rear suspension...

The "While you're in there thread"

I've bought many things from them and never had any issues. I had a bit of a wait last summer when I ordered a complete cab seal kit as they were waiting on pieces but they came through. I usually talk directly to Keith or Aubrey. I just talked to Aubrey about injector lines on Monday. We got...

Okay, a new update with pictures. Finally getting close to having the truck back together and completed. Hopefully it will be all done by the end of this weekend. My brakelines will be here today or tomorrow so after they go in it should be ready to roll. So I finished off my vent lines in the...

Here are some pics of the airpack and master cylinder Thanks for the pictures. I am considering changing out my airpack - the salt up here just rusts everything up, and I don't want it to fail when at the worst possible time. Where would I get one? I got mine through Ted and Amy at Real...

Agreed Greg! I may joke about me being my own worst enemy or my OCD not allowing me to leave it but in reality it is exactly like you said. I look at it and to me I'd rather spend a little more time....and unfortunately money as well for the piece of mind. One of my biggest peeves is having to...

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

No worries Ford Mechanic. It is just funny how one thing leads to another. Like I said....part of it is me being my own worst enemy. I frequently take a mentality of "well...while I'm there...might as well do this as well"....LOL. I could of just replaced lines around airpack...or even left it...

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

So far I have all the airlines replaced. I used PTFE stainless wrapped hose for all lines close to the engine heat. I used Blue DOT nylon airline for all service lines. Red airline for my emergency gladhand line. And finally yellow airline for my vent lines. My axles were already plumbed with...

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

Well the deuce ran great all summer....until about 3 weeks ago. Was heading to a friend of mine's house and was taking my deuce. Truck was running and driving normally but noticed my brake pedal felt a bit firm. The brakes felt like they were operating normally so I proceeded. As I got on the...

In May I also got around to building a snorkel for my deuce as well. Used 4" stainless exhaust pipe with a 4" Donaldson scoop. At the same time I re did the top of my exhaust so that it was one straight exhaust pipe instead of 2 pieces that always leaned slightly rearward. This allowed me to...
