Yes. Rear shocks. Bilstein #33-230344 . It came with 1/2 inch sleeves so I had to install 12mm sleeves but they were a very good price. I need to replace all 4 front shocks but cant find the part number and no one has answered my message here. Do you know what the fronts are?

A little engine work done this week. Painted and mounted 12/24V battery isolator setup and plumbed the oil cooler and filter, New Bilstein rear shock came in too. New 8 inch wheel coming in tomorrow so I can swap out the 10 inch.

This was my first FAV and it was pretty much the way it was built during the 85 rebuild. It looks like a 10 inch wheel on the back. What do you think?

Yes... When the manual was created it was 8 inch but the manual was for the pre-1985 rebuild where they added the side baskets, radio basket, fenders and other items. when I look at photos of the post 85 rebuild I think the rear wheels are 10 inch but dont know for sure. Just wondering what...

A TOW assembly would be a great addition to a FAV. I think it might be hard to find all the individual parts to go with it though. I'm guessing they dont just de-mil it and sell it. I would think they would destroy it. It would be cool though!

What width wheels are you using on the rear of your FAV? 8 inch or 10 inch?

I mounted the mis-matched wheels anyway and rolled the FAV out of the garage. This is the first time since 2009 that it had wheels and tires on it.

Already bought 5 inch wheels for front.

Got new rear tires today 31x10.50-15 General ATX . 2 weeks ago I bought the front tires, Also General ATX 205/75-15. Nice matching tread pattern. Ran into small problem though. My FAV came with 4 wheels with old tires on them. I was stupid and did not check to see if the wheels were the same...

Next week I hope to start building the weapons mount. I want to get that done before I start on the wiring and seats.

Yep. The numbers I found on the rear shock is not even listed on the Bilstein website. Not even a close number.

Also the new EMPI oil cooler. New rear tires will be coming on friday. I can roll it around finally.

Mounted the 12/24v converters today. I will remove and paint them next week.

I was looking for a DPV last year but could not find one. I found my FAV instead. The FAV weapon mount is hard to come by. Thanks for the photo of the DPV.

Anyone have a FAV with a weapon mount? I am going to try and build one and need a few photos and have some questions. Thanks.
