New interior parts for my M1009 CUCV Blazer

I just put in a Jensen Marine radio. Flat panel control head on the military radio bar and the remote electronics in a center console (or under the seat or wherever). Mine has AM/FM/USB/Ext. You can also add iPod/iPhone if you want to control it from the radio head. JENSEN JMS2212...

    Power pole connectors

The bigger the better, within reason. 24V would make it smaller (less current). Anderson Powerpoles are great, we use them in Amateur Radio systems a lot, no reverse polarity by accident.

    ABERDEEN 2012 ( Only 192 days away)

For those of us new to SS, here is the link to Aberdeen 2012 with dates, location, etc. East Coast Rally Military Vehicle Show, Swap Meet, and Flea Market - Operated by WAC/B&G MVT Hope to find some green radio antennas (preferably a 16' mobile whip setup) at prices I can bear.

    centerfuge vs. multiple inline filters

I am interested in this also. I am looking at using 40-50 gallons/week. I may start with WVO/Diesel blend for now, and "upgrade" to Biodiesel (methanol/lye) by the fall. Would a centrifuge be worth it overall, getting the water and gunk out of WVO? I am also considering a solar heater to...

Ham Radio Operators / Steel Soldiers

Just got my M1009 to go with my Extra Class License  I am using my FT-897 on 2M for my morning commute with a temporary antenna. I have a Jensen marine stereo with the FT-897 output fed into the stereo - now I can hear it! I would like for green antennas for HF and VHF/UHF. I don;t...

    M1009 CUCV Civvy Radio

That's where I got the idea - sorry for not giving you credit (it is hard to remember where you see all these good ideas). The ham radio is a FT-897 and it nestles easily next to the drivers seat. I have a center console added so the radio fits well and I have a place for the aux jack. I'll...

    M1009 CUCV Civvy Radio

$215 for the radio, $26.58 for the aux USB/3.5 input Jack, and $26.98 for an antenna and a pair of 200W speakers (which will be tan painted and mounted on the rear of the door pillars). I usually run Ham radio OR commercial, not both at the same time so I think the aux input will work better...

    M1009 CUCV Civvy Radio

Just ordered a civilian radio for my new to me M1009. I ordered the Jensen JMS2212 which can flat mount the control head to the radio mount on the dash. Radio/amplifier under the passenger seat (along with my 24V/600W inverter) I can add the output of my amateur radio to the aux input so I can...

Southern CUCV Resto winter project M1009

Nice truck David! Now that it is mine, I drove it 100+ miles today, no problems. need to work on my wiring now for radios and accessories. First up may be putting the 600W, 24V inverter in that I have lying around. That will be the easiest way to get power. Next will be a more permanent 12V...
