My '86 M1109 is all original suspension parts, with about 120K miles so far, never any wobble.
Now, I'm running LT31x10.5R15 tires and no lift. Perhaps that has something to do with it?
I hear something like that when it shifts from high RPM to low, and assumed it was the turbo overloading and opening the wastegate. I hear a similar sound when I shut the engine down.
EDIT to add: I didn't find the 400 amp alternator any bother when changing the glow plugs since they're so...
Does the tracking show it's moving? I get emails from all sorts of vendors telling me my purchase has shipped, only to look at the tracking number and see they did nothing more than print the label, then it sits for days and days before someone gets it to the shipper and it actually starts...
There are a LOT of new-old-stock and barely used tires floating around the various markets - always always ask for the tire's date code before negotiating. I've seen sellers advertising brand new tires that were brand new in 2005, but are not worth the money and time-suck involved.
I don't recommend attempting to rattle-can the whole vehicle, while at the same time not trying to discourage such an attempt. I believe a real paint gun will give it a more uniform appearance, but I haven't tried it so maybe I'm wrong.

With spring reluctantly arriving, maybe next month, it's time to start getting the garden beds in order. One of the things I need to do is dig them out and sift the dirt back in. I remember seeing a screen frame on the beach at Keyport so I drove the M1165 out to see if it was still there...
I can't believe you all missed the significance of that photo. You captured one of the rare all-electric powered HMMWVs. The giveaway is the generator in the bed- that supplies the electricity to run the electric motor. That's some serious cutting edge technology the military is fielding.
They came out no problem.
I did learn a valuable lesson driving to NAPA. Unzipping the soft-door window while traveling at 40MPH and keeping the truck on the road seem to be almost mutually exclusive tasks. I won't try that again...
I was in the garage - hey, what are these 4 quarts of gear oil for? OH! I never swapped out the gear oil in the diffs!
Easy enough job so I attacked it after work. 3/8 plugs, pull the fill plug, pull the drain plug, re-tape and reinstall the drain plug. Wrote "3/8" on the diffs with a Marsh...

Vehicular pursuit.
(1) A peace officer may not engage in a vehicular pursuit, unless:
(a)(i) There is probable cause to believe that a person in the vehicle has committed or is committing a violent offense or sex offense as defined in RCW 9.94A.030, or an escape under chapter...
My left one had a broken spring when I got the truck. I replaced the spring and now it's very loose, so it really isn't holding that side of the doghouse. The bottom snap-clip seems to be enough but I would still want to get the DZUS adjusted correctly.
