    Swedish Field Phones

gunner01, to me as a German swedish is just as much "gurgl smörre shmurgle" as to anyone else :? . To me it seems that there are not many similarities. Nice find on the field phones, they look a little like the old Wehrmacht types. Mark

    Antennaset AS/FA 412

An overlooked maintenance sticker gave the clue: the antennaset is from the swiss army. Going to keep the matching units and sell the antenna sets again. At least now I know that canvas smells the same, no matter where it was produced....

    Interesting gun truck mod

I found some interesting pictures of a gun truck in Vietnam, where the driver was relocated on the bed of the truck. Reminds me on APC drivers, who modded their controls to sit on the APC while driving, rather than in it. It looks like they used a driveline from a jeep or something else to...

    Antennaset AS/FA 412

Hi, i "shot" two complete Sets of MX6707 mast bases together with two antenna sets AS/FA 412. They look old style (copper alloy segments, not fiberglass) and come in wonderful smelly canvas bags. I have not found to which radio the AS/FA 412 belongs to exactly, does anyone know that? Thanks...

    SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH!!!

If one performs a search on multiple arguments (ie "hub flipping") it is mandatory to mark the button "search for all terms". Maybe the webform for the search should come with this button marked by default, and not the other one "Search for any terms or use query as entered". Example: if...

A few pics - Jagdtiger in process

Ruppster, thanks! Yes this is my / our website. Momentarily it is only used for "parking galleries" and is a totally disorganised mess. I don't even know what I've got there altogether. I have to get it done one of these days. If you need some of the pictures in a higher resolution, no...

A few pics - Jagdtiger in process

Two years ago I visited the tank museum of Saumur in France (-> http://www.musee-des-blindes.asso.fr/ ) , which has one of the largest collections of german tanks from the ww2 era in the world. I took a lot of pictures which might be of interest to modelers (and in general). I would post them...

RE: Re: RE: M818 1,200 miles and home Nice job! Glad you guys made it. Nothing beats mastering such a road trip, and being able to share the success with a co-driver. Nice pics, also!

    does your deuce lean???

That reminds me on the hotchkiss / willys jeep of a friend of mine. It is always leaning to the drivers side, as many old Jeeps do. When one gets out of it first thing to do i to grab the handle on the Jeeps body and pull it upwards, then it's straight again :-) . I guess this is because of...

    rust remval bath

When I restored VW beetles a few years ago I used to put the rusted nuts and bolts as well as other small parts in an old pot (I used another one once and had a highly upset wife and a high priority order to buy a new pot) together with a small amount of citric acid and water and let it cook...

    Pics of a stripper!

way to go! Have the same behind me now, thank god. Did you uncover any hidden markings? I found some interesting under the paint on the bumperettes, above them, and out- and inside the doors, as well as the hood. Might tell something about the whereabouts of the truck. Keep it up! Mark
