The national guard unit here in town has about a dozen and I have allways wondered what they were. I don't hear much chatter about them here on SS. Are there alot out there?
The m101 3/4 ton trailer will be less of a load than the m105 1 1/2 ton trailer. It will still hold way more weight than it is rated for. The guard unit here in town uses the m105 behind deuces and the m101 behind the hummers. The m105 is overkill for you. The GL units sell cheap but you...
I have a great NAPA here in town. Old guys behind the counter that look stuff up in the BOOK not just the computer. My local NAPA also has a machinist in back who will do everything from turning drums to building performance engines. The quality of the parts far exceeds the other parts stores in...
I feel your pain. I had an euc returned for dating my form 11-14-9 instead of 11-14-09. Don't underestimate anything on a government form. The smallest things will get you every time. Good luck.
My usual ins. company said that they would not insure my truck. I drove it to the local state farm office and they took pictures. They had no problem insuring it. No B.S. rules like the collector companies. I can drive it whenever and wherever I want. State farm has all my policies now...
Good advice on freezing. I also have a solargizer but it didn't seem to do much so I bought the batteryMINDer. The solargizer is real small so I am not surprised it didn't help a questionable battery. I hope it does better after the desulphating process.
I am currently trying to revive 2 hawker amma safe's that came in my deuce. I am using the batteryMINDer from northern.
When I started it had the orange (yellow?) light on. The batt. only charged for an hour and then went to the green blinking light. I cranked the engine and the batt. died...
It's all suply and demand. The suply is allmost zero so any demand will raise the price. Even if the govt. pays $250k if there are no trucks for sale a rich guy might pay more to get one. Your $250k seller is just putting it out there in case a big fish with deep pockets comes along.
I bought mine on GL and got a great deal. Pay attention to the condition ratings at the bottom of the listing. The description of my truck said allmost nothing usefull but the condition was B4. It turns out it had just been turned in by the national guard. Drove it home with no problems...
I have a VISA debit card that I use. It is a seperate account that I use for online transactions. Your bank will let you open another account for nothing so you might as well, it's good extra security. Since the timeframe is so short for paying online auctions (GL, ebay, etc) you really can't...
I thought of doing the same thing with my GMC astro semi truck. I didn't have the time to do the project so I unbolted my fith wheel and put on a flatbed. Allways thought it would be a really sweet acessory. Good luck and post some pics when it's done.
Be careful with which paint you use. I painted my snowmobile trailer with some leftover flat black from a derby car. It looked cool when I did it. It has faded badly and is a lousy dark grey now. I need to repaint it , it looks terrible. It would be even worse on a large surface like a deuce.
State farm. $170 year, liability with decent limits. No restrictions and they have pictures of the truck. They know exactly what it is and have no problem insuring it. I also have a local agent so I don't have to work with an out of state company over the phone. My policy is comercial but listed...
I had trouble with an EUC because I had just bought a new house so my physical adress did not match my ID. WY doesn't issue a new ID with an adress change so I had to renew early to get a new ID. Fortunatley it was in the same town and I sent my water/sewer/trash bill along with my ID copies...
I recently had a meeting with my life insurance agent and he was VERY against GEICO. He said "buy your insurance from whoever you want but if you have a claim GEICO will never pay" He is an independant agent writing policies with many different companies. I get my deuce insurance from state...
