Just looking to connect with owners in the KY area. I have heard from a few of you already, but would like to know more about any owner groups or rally's that are held. I live in the Lexington area.
Nice truck. I never realized so many people owned MV's, I cannot wait to take my boys to a rally:-D
My buddy and me also dabble in surplus so we have all sorts of crap like tents to set up;-)
Ohnuts. I saw those for sale, about a week after mine in KY. We almost bought another. Some up in MI too, I have family there and a cabin in the area so we thought about buying there as well.
I actually live an hour at the most from the lot this truck is located, more like 45 minutes.
I have had great luck with GL, I am particular in my searches and my auctions and pay attention because I cannot preview. This particular auction was in KY and NOBODY was bidding on the trucks. Most went for $700.00 or so!
I figured what the hay, I have wanted one for years. I hope all it...
Are there any specific measurements to doing this? I have the truck coming and the trailer already, I just need the knowledge. .. and a garage as big as yours:-D
Can you really run a deuce on waste oil (I assume filtered somewhat) and gasoline mix? How do you personally do this. I have access to waste oil from a small city, they throw it out.
Thats great, talk about being Green!
As for wasted veggie oil can you also mix it with gas? And what type of...
Thanks all. Like I said I jumped from planes, I think maybe rode a Duece once or twice, most of the time I walked through a swamp or sand.
As for it not being a 1989, perhaps as I have no clue. I only go by GL information as I could not tell you what year my POV was built were it not for the...
Old thread but I understand. As i look through these to answer my questions I see everyone has to deal with the same issues. its only been 7 days but I still am as much on edge as I was buying the darn thing waiting for the EUC to clear.
Is there anywhere I can go to get all the information I need to BOB my deuce? I already have the m105 trailer for the bed and springs, duece is coming here shortly. I like the BOBBED duece mostly because i can fit it at the house without the wife complaining:roll:
Don't forget you can also add an HHO setup to provide an extra bump to the woodgas. FEMA has a pdf you can get on the internet that gives the basics. Just make sure you adapt it to an Imbert as it creates higher temps needed to crack the tars. Also the wood does have to have a 20% moisture...
Well you would not be the first. We are also going to convert my new deuce to run on wood gas as well. You have to get past the need for lube internally for which the fuel is supposed to provide. We are already building one to add to the truck. Try looking up Werners Chevrolet.. a guy running a...
I had to go the GL way. I bought a 1966 rebuilt M35A2 for $1142.90 and that I cannot beat. Sure it may have a few issues but I highly doubt it. I bought a vehicle that was used by the National Guard, only 23,000 miles and looks clean. (picture below)
Now that being said I also have to line up...
I have purchased trailers and other equipment from GL, great stuff if your careful. And I have always had great service. I am also going to pick up a new deuce soon.. as soon as they finish the EUC that is.
I have just purchased a 1989 M35A2 from GovLiq. I have yet to pick the thing up and have a few questions:
First it appears this only has 23,000 miles and about 900 hours. Owned by the national guard I am hoping this means highway miles. The seats and interior seem clean, as does the outside. Of...
