I'm going to assume it has a delco 12si alternator or something similar. If you have battery voltage @ pin one on the harness side of the alternator connection with the key in the run position you have excite power and that is not the problem. Did you ohm out the field winding while you had...
I defiantly agree that their is room for improvement with the stock springer seat but $400 sounds a tad steep. A progressive bottom out bump stop would really improve things for us big guys.
x2 on what usmc320 said :funny:
Personally I think putting bead locks on stock rims is on par with trying to polish a turd.
I'm pretty sure custom rims could be had for less money and or effort..
Just out of curiosity why are you trying to discus your f-150 mods in the Deuce hot-rodding...
Yep their the ones that make the mat i was describing. Did you look at their how to article?

Another product i used was called "The insulator". It works ok. I used it on the roof inside the cab of my 64 ford f100...
I have also been looking into insulating the hood and cab of my truck.
I'm not exactly sure what the military used on these trucks, but i have seen some closed cell expanded vinyl-nitrile foam mating used in helicopters and other machines for noise / thermal insulation. IIRC it's flame...
It's expensive to make tooling for something like that, been there done that.
I really don't think you would want to spray them with a chopper gun. They will be weak and crack easily.
If you want a inexpensive pump that will put up with some serous abuse buy a small block chevy oil pump. They go for less than $20. As for spin on adapters try your local VW shop, I picked up a name brand one for $9 that takes a PH8A ford filter. The PH8A I think is rated at 30-40 microns, so...
I got some ISO 220w wale oil for ya. lmfao:funny:
About a month ago I drained the junk oil that uncle sam put in and switched to a mix of 75% SAE30w - 25% lucas (only used the lucas because the local auto parts store did not have any 50w) and it shifts way better. One of the best things i have...
Cheat, use a LARGE extra air tank and the appropriate size air line for the impact gun. A NEW 100lb (almost 30 gallons) propane tank makes a great receiver and its rated working pressure is around 250psi.:grd:
 I don't think it would be wise to try to burn skydrol. The autoignition temperature of LD-4 is 880°F. Not to mention the fact that it is not compatible with a lot of hose and seal materials (ie Buna N, Buna S, Viton, Neoprene, Natural & Synthetic Rubber, Polyurethane, PVC etc..... If...
Yep:ditto:
All of these bulbs should fit the standard KC daylighter housing.
Google "PAR46 BULB" or GE part #
4553 28v 250w landing light
4554 28v 450w taxiing bulb
4571 28v 150w flood
4049 13v 150w spot (Discontinued by KC for the original high output...
Wow.
That makes me wonder about the mild steel pins I made for mine. Might be time to upgrade to 4340 chromoly.
What size and grade chains did you have on it?
