Some times you just do things for fun. This weekend we had are club (The Idaho MVPA) water fording / MV swim picnic lots of fun. Most use " M "type vec s with fording kits. This year My friend Stan an I used a 43 G506, got water in to every thing Eng, Trans,diffs but had lots of fun.
You lost me on that one. Both of mine that still have transfer cases in them are mounted with round rubber dounuts with studs, castle nuts and wire. No springs.
That is Very good advice. I know of a few "It ran when I parked it" MVs that burned when people tried to rush things. The wiring will need to checked or replaced. Small anaimals like to use wiring to make nests.

You are talking about a No.7 wrecker kit I have one for my CCKW I have a friend who just bought one last year. The army used them into the 80's and surplused them just a few years ago.
Does any one have pics of late war all steel beds in service or production? I have a 8/45 but it is a steel/wood bed. Also I need more info on rope tie down hooks here are pics of ones I have on my beds from 41-45. What years used what hooks?
