I would get the shafts rebalanced. I had a custom driveshaft made for a valiant V8. I was driving at 80mph when I felt vibrations and it poped on me. It lifted the whole rear of the car. I got lucky cause I had front disk brakes so I could quickly come to a stop without the fishtail. Driveline...
From what I understand
I really need help and would be happy to hear from you. My M109 Has two recepticles. One for the 24v system and another to connect to a 115v generator or something like that? I check the whole wiring and connected the two pin 24v system to the batteries. Once, I found...
It takes about 3 months from the time You submitt the paperwork , so don't worry about it. When I picked up my truck at Barstow, I drove for 140 miles to my home. They don't let you drain fluids at the bases, so, you will have to take it out first. You can check for fluids like the oil level...
Well
I was thinking a semi set up because of the benefits: better braking, highway gear ratios, and popular 10 lug bolt pattern, oh and some come with airbags, right... I had told my sister that I was not going to modify my truck, lol.
I see a ton of semi's
So, it would be nice to get the diffs of a semi and just fabricate them on a deuce. I'll have to see which one is more popular and can brake better, plus, one with those nice looking aluminum rims with 22.5 would be nice. I don't care about the aluminum, but I like the...
read this please!
Soundproofing the firewall, floorboard, and weatherstripping will definitely cut much of the road noise out as well. I won't do that until the crew cab is finished.
I would go for a thick spray-on sound and heat deadening materials from secondskinaudio.com . Check Them out...
I think you are right!
It's true, changing the transmission ratio is way cheaper. I don't need to go so fast, just be able to run in the freeways here. I'm definately interested in your trany gear swap! Well, once I get my deuce!:)
You don't happen to make or know of someone who makes ring and pinion gears? I thought of better highway ratios for my future deuce. It should make a difference like a transmission ratio swap, right? Thanks!
Well, I guess anything can go wrong
But, I might just have to bring some tools... and a ton of other stuff :cookoo:
I will need to service it and check every bolt on the duece. Maybe I should have done this after basic training. :-o
I'll be there for the BBQ
I've been wanting to see the other sides of my country. I'm sure I'll see a lot more green and clean compared to what I see in Los Angeles.
Lol, I've never thought about the brakes. I guess I'll have to look at the forum for brakes. Anyway, I want the 22.5 to get better road stability. I don't want it to be bouncing around the freeway at just 55mph. And i really don't want some massive wide tires either. But, I'll keep everyones...
I still don't have my duece, but,
I was thinking about getting steel 22.5" rims and taking them to a rim shop where they can cut the 10 bolt pattern out and weld the 6 bolt pattern in. I just don't know how large either hub is from a duece rim and a 22.5 rim. I will need to run 22.5"'s because...
It's already been a month since I sent the EUC form. By next month In November 22nd, it will be about 60 days. If I could get someone from the near by area to tow the duece out from the base and store it. I will pay for your help and storage. I did want to drive the duece back home, so , I might...
