So I hear this alot, although have never seen an example of it .
The A1 and A2 both having auto trans, only the A2 has a weak T-case that cannot be used in reverse low range under any circumstances ?
I would like to understand this more better .
I tow my military trailers with either one of these, the fancy black one can be mounted upside down or right side up it doesn't care, you just flip the ball mount over .
I just use my old Ford pu, I've never had to fab anything to tow them .
I went to this last year, sold some stuff, bought some stuff, it is a smaller event than some of you are used to with great food and awesome people, I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it if you can make it on short notice . 🇺🇸
They're getting cheaper, these look almost as strange as your original ones, I bet with some butt connectors and some wire crimpers you could have your original military connections put right on these in no time .
One turn on the screw won't burn you down, but it will give you an answer, you can always hook up your guage after .
I dump all my old used motor oil in my Deuce, then when I'm out on fires I just take out straight diesel because I don't want to deal with that oil mess out in the woods, I've...
If you went from 5400' to 305' you need more fuel .
It's a pretty simple procedure just take that cover off and turn that screw out one full turn and see what difference it makes then go from there .
Those things are ridiculously expensive as you already know, have you thought about just trying some regular old LED 7 each headlights ?
I have different versions of these in my trucks and they work great and they're cheap .
Just a thought ...
I put my towbar on the rear of my truck backwards .
I made it to where the loop just barely slips over the top when you push it forward, it's never going to come off unintentionally .
I saw a guy pulling a tank around with this method, and though I do not have a tank as of yet, I just wanted...
I just a Parker in my Deuce and I have to lean down and put my ear by the tank to hear it run, but it's working .
My old pump I could hear from the drivers seat .
Going into your airpack booster ?
If you still had air in your lines it doesn't seem like it would have made you kiss the windshield, did you bleed the booster ?
In all my years of doing this I dont ever recall using 8° shims, but nowadays many of the lift blocks have the angle built in to them, which is the way to go .
This is about the most simple suspension that exists so it's a great platform to learn from .
Leaf springs don't move nearly as much...
Okay so hang on my bad, you're talking about the other little spring not the spring that goes straight across to the frame, I just climbed under my truck braving spiders and spider webs and took some pictures for you see if this helps
Man if you were working on this from under the truck it's really going to bring the suck, that spring goes from the top of your outer shoe over to a tab off the top of the frame right underneath your rear cab mount crossover .
And it is a bear from under the truck, try some long needle nose...
I've lifted Vehicles 4 to 6" inches many times over the years, I've never had a rear drive line come out that far, you have the wrong drive line, that's definitely a no bueno .
Did You move the rear axle back with offset spring pads ?
You're going to have to stretch that rear drive line out...
My thought would be unless they're junk (unlikely) if you can get six or more of those for that price I definitely would buy them no matter what .
No matter what it says on the sidewall that tire there is no substitute for a tape measure, and it will answer your questions in a jiffy
