2cents2centsThat is a tall order to fill. Surely you know the adage: Fast & cheap wont be good. Cheap & good wont be fast. Good & fast wont be cheap. As you see you can have a combination of any 2, but if you find a combo-pak that has all 3 post it & you will be a hero to many. Myself I use the...
I have also done business with DB. (alternators 12 & 24 volt) Been satisfied with the live on phone service and are helpful with solenoid switches too. Using a nearby rebuild shop does give you several advantages. You can have a good idea of how long they have been in business & see if their...
Steam cleaning is ideal in this situation & GL does have regular listings for them. I got 2 of the larger units out of Columbus a couple of months ago and it is a must have if you are going to do alot of this type of work. $1000 total by the time they got here, yet priceless in the super cleanup...
Click on where it says H7 it will tell you what that means. However I recently bought an H7 truck with the full intentions of it being a parts truck and when I raised the hood there was a new not rebuilt engine.:-D When doing an auction without a preview in person it is a crapshoot. But on the...
Residue means good for parts only. Usually this is notated in the description, trucks in this catagory have been cannibalized. In the case of just missing the data plate you will have to recover the VIN # yourself and you will get better results using a title service instead of GL.
That usually means the data plate is missing. However the VIN # is stamped on the frame GL just wont look for it. The data plate may have been removed if the truck was classified as "residue"
When you are used to dealing with school kids & parents who will kiss your a** it is a hard dose of reality when you get the same treatment as everybody else does. "I called at least 30 times" " It's been 3 days" "I know it said up to 45 days but I'm special." Obviously somebody did'nt do a...
3 days? You are expecting things to happen a little too fast. Afterall you should have went the private seller route if you wanted instant results. Why did you go the GL way? Was it because you saw what private sellers were charging and thought it was too high? Did you think "Hey, I'll just buy...
It was most likely just picked up at the auction for a quick buck. If too much time passes it is almost impossible to get the SF97 then you have a truck with no paper. I don't sell no trucks without a state issued title, this protects the seller & buyer. There has been cases of "I don't know why...
Just a thank you to the guys who are BUYING their chains & hooks instead of stealing them off of trucks waiting to be picked up. I had mine stolen at Warner Robins in the past 2-3 weeks, however the thief missed the 2 new boxes of reflector triangles, a new glad hand tire inflator, new fire...
For those tactical MV owners in Florida if you enter to your search engine "florida house bill no. 623" you will be able to print out the three pages covering MV exemptions. Keep it in the truck with you and when LEO sez "TAG" Just show your reg, tag, ins,& HB 623 and all is well. It just has to...
Do a search on pyrometers, on one of the sites this was covered the solution involved an inline resistor. The non-voltage type of pyrometer uses a Type K thermocoupling.
