I've always liked mine and it's one of my favorite series of trucks. Just wish they had the air shift front end like the M939 series did. My M817s and M816s have never let me down.
You can put in the air switch to cut off the air supply to the transmission. This was an MWO performed by some units. It was covered once on here before with pictures, but I cannot remember what the post is titled.
The boots we sell are also New-star brand. The early ones did seem to rip easier and then they changed part numbers and the later ones seem to last better from my customer feedback. They unfortunately don't last as long as the OEM military ones. I tried a few years ago to get one of the...
Unfortunately you guys are correct on New Star being the only source anymore. Your options are New Star or old OEM seals that might not be much better due to age. With my MV parts business, most of our stuff is New Star anymore. I have honestly never had any customers complain about the seals...
I've got one that's made of angle iron and flat iron in a curved shape to keep the cover up and from filling with water. That's what the SD national guard used on our trucks. I might have an extra bracket laying around if your interested.

I saw an article in one of the military magazines that a guy bought several US tanks in central america and had them trucked up through mexico and into the us. I wonder how he got around not being able to import US armor? I've got one M75 APC and really want to find something with a little...
We have done this to several trucks for customers, but we use a regular deuce tank with a electric pump to transfer into the main tank. We also installed float gauges to control high and low fuel shutoffs to prevent over flow. This way you only have to have the regular plumbing on the deuce...
Bishman 931A. That is what we use at my guard shop. Pretty nice machine too. I have one brand new in the crate, but i'm missing the wheel and some of the tire dies. If anybody knows of any around for parts, let me know. They work great for deuce and 5 ton tires.
I have a bunch of SEE truck parts. I'll get you a list next weekend of what I all have left. They are neat vehicles, but scary to drive down the road very fast. I've logged many hours digging holes with them.
