What did you use for the hatch? I already cut a hole in my roof, but I am undecided how to do it. I think yours looks great.
Do you have any rough dimensions?
I saw this one, most others on CL were $2-3000. There was a M1010 for $3000 in Kansas I think. I'd sell you my green one for $5000, and it's half the distance! :-D Mine is a bit uglier though.
You can search all the craigslist sites at once on www.crazedlist.org using firefox.
You might try it in 4 Low if it can. Can you spin the front driveshaft in park?(with the hubs unlocked)
When my trans went bad, it would barely move, less and less untill it just sat there and did nothing. In 4 Low, it had a little more power to move when 2 and 4 hi could not.
Just...
Maybe you can register it as a home built trailer. When I got my m101a2 from GL, I just had a bill of sale and they had me fill out title information and weight and such. Took about 10 minutes to get plates in Iowa.
Here are a few more.

I had one just loose in the back for a while. About the only time I used the thing was to throw it under the tire for traction when i got high centered. It worked well.
If it could fit in an ammo box you could put together a kit.
You guys were right, it towed fine. It didn't even sway at all. We went on the 2 lane twisty hills in Missouri and all highway from Kansas City 60-70mph.
Ended up using a bumper bar since it had no D ring mounts and I was too lazy to take off mine. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.
I've bent my hitch and broke most of the bolts holding it together going up a steep hill. But It drug a pickup with wheels locked up on pavement in low range chained to the D rings.
That is a nice load. It's my buddy's burb and I didnt think they could haul too much. If your 3/4ton can do that I feel more comfortable about a 1/2ton hauling just one.
