Injection Pump Reinstall Problem on 6.5 Turbo

This is just another example of why I only use pumps from HPG or MAC motors, either rebuilt or new, the amount of time spent removing this pump again negates any savings,I learned this lesson many years ago. As far as Pensacola diesel goes, I got nothing good to say about them either as a pump...

    A/C Diagnostic help

that 5lbs has to be a “typo”, cuz the service label on the trucks say 3lbs 8oz….but yes, follow the pressure chart.

    A/C Diagnostic help

pressure chart is best, as well as temp gauge inserted into one of the vents while on full, running at 1500rpm…the TM calls for 3lbs 8oz, but that does depends on the pressures banned on air temp.

    A/C Diagnostic help

The rear is an evaporator only, the fan speed is controlled by the hi/low switch same as front, the rear evaporator shuts off when the compressor shuts off, the front evaporator will continue to push air because the blower is still going, this is because the front is also a heater Blower. You...

Injection Pump Reinstall Problem on 6.5 Turbo

STOP if you tighten these bolts without being completely seated and flush on the timing gear, you will break the pump shaft, its a milled surface and it’s tight, remove all bolts, push on the timing gear with your fingers and shake the pump while pushing the pump, the two surfaces will be flush...

    M1123 Shifter Problems

Fluids have nothing do with a shifter assy and hard shifting…unless something is restricting the shaft, I’d be looking at the shift linkage or the shifter I’ve replaced quite a few gummed up shifters.

    400A and Over-run pulley

There is no “low voltage“ cut off, just Over voltage cut off, the reg has a soft start feature, meaning you wont see full charging voltage for up to a minute, if you have 24v at IGN terminal at ALL times while engine running and suddenly no output of 28.5VDC? its either the regulator or the...

    400A and Over-run pulley

Of course it’s an acceptable combination, there is the possibility that the over run pulley is defective, can you spin the pulley in both directions while engine is off? It should only spin free in one direction. also, what was the part number of the new belt?

    Fixing a delaminating ballistic windshield

Tempered is not used on WS’s, it’s used in side windows, if it’s on the windscreen? It’s laminaged, and 5/8 glass is expensive, I’ve sourced it…it’s an odd size. if You aren’t installing OEM glass? Than just install standard 3/8 glass, putting in 5/8 safety glass just ends up being a waste of...

    Fixing a delaminating ballistic windshield

i seriously doubt you will find a company that will delaminate that glass and apply new…adding any thickness with additional layers will render the OEM seal and WS retainers useless, I’ve done door glass on 5/8 and makes you add something to the edge because the dimensions for the seals and...
