    cold CUCV

Yes, vacuum Mike- Yes, vacuum. With all due respect, I'm an ASE Certified master tech and have been working on this body style GM product for years. All have cables, yes. Some (not all) have a vacuum operated heater control valve in the heater hose and vacuum operated blend and mode...

would u buy this preBOB deuce?

It can be done, but bobbers seem to go from 6k up to this price range. Add up your expenses - supplies, tires, wheels, paint, 105 bed, etc, etc, etc. What is your time and friends time worth? How soon do you want it? Oh the decisions..... No, I didn't spend near that for mine.

    cold CUCV

One thing that has not yet been discussed - is your heater control valve opening and allowing coolant to flow to the heater core? If you lose vacuum, have a or have a leak, the valve won't open. Are the heater hoses getting hot? Is it a possible blend door / control cable problem in the cab...

    5 Ton Fever?

So is that how I should explain that there's not just one 5 ton parked at my in-laws, but actually two more hiding in other locations? I suppose since I can only drive one at a time, maybe she'll never realize there's 3 of them? "No honey, you must be mistaken - the 5 ton didn't have a winch...

800 series going up in price!

5 ton cargos went in the 3's and 4's in last weeks auction, 3772. Today (from what I saw) they went in the 4's, 5's and 6's. 45 days ago they were going in the 5's, 6's and 7's consistantly. Yes, I also heard that there is a contract out for 800 cargo for overseas, BUT the normal suspects...

    Split brake system

Please keep us (me) informed as you move forward on your bobbed Deuces brakes. I don't know about the rest of those out there with bobbers, but with the much larger tires and one less braking axle, mine does not stop near as well as any of my regular deuces. I'd be happy to find a viable brake...
