He has a 101A1 with the 5 lug M37 wheels, not an A2 with the 8 lug wheels.
I have seen people try to use newer tires with the old rims, but you have to use tubes and flaps with them. Make sure you use tubes for radial tires if you go that route.

I bought some from a place here local called "The Clip House" when I mounted a console in my old '79 Bronco several years back. They even sold the tool to hold them while you collapsed them into the panel.
Call around your area to places that install truck equipment and do restorations. If all...
Umm, yea the shaft is supposed to come out with the pump...
This is the best price, bar none, that I have found for a 6.2 Injection Pump. The pumps are the same between the J-code civilian trucks and the CUCV, so it makes no difference. I bought one for my 1009 and it was an excellent rebuild...
The check valve might be stopped up and preventing the fuel from flowing properly. Take the rubber fuel line and nipple off of the top of the injection pump, then try to look through it. If you can't see the little glass ball in it, it is gunked up and might be the cause of your problems. Spray...
The relay under the dash is a 12V Bosch relay commonly used in automotive applications.
If the alternator had 13 Ohms between the case and the ground stud, then something was wrong with it. If it did not have any Ohms between the ground stud and case after he reassembled it, then the problem is...

I'm willing to help too. I do think that the list should be maintained in some sort of secure manner to prevent unauthorized personnel from accessing it. The TDR maintained such a list and every 6 months would print a booklet with everyone's names/addresses/capabilities which was included with...
The mystery wires are on FP3 in the lower left hand side. Look for TH1, which is what is supposed to be connected to those wires. It is a part of the winterization/heater kit for the unit. If the unit didn't have the kit installed, it won't be used.
As far as reading the diagrams, it's like...
LOL, well that's the Army for you...
Did you say that you'd love to get them off the internet but you keep running into that whole password requirement thing?

Is the 14B from a 3/4 or 1 ton? If it's a 3/4 it should just bolt in with new (larger) ubolts. You'll also need to get a 1310/1350 conversion ujoint unless you are having a new driveshaft made.
What's your plan on the front? That 14B won't have 3.08 gears so you're going to have to have the...

I've never used Crazedlist, I use SearchTempest which searches CL out to your distance setting and Ebay. It used to be called Craigshelper, but they changed it to head off any possible legal problems with using Craigs in the name.

Well, while the OP had a 1010, it was modified while in Govt service to the regular CUCV system, not the 1010 system.
I would recommend pulling the plastic plugs off of the alternator and cleaning the contacts, then see what the lights are doing. From there you can check some of the other...
Well, the OD would be .5, which is a little taller than the usual .63 or .7 overdrive ratios, but with a 4.56 geared 1008 on stock 235/85R16 tires, in OD you would be pulling 1750 RPM at 70 MPH. Unfortunately I don't think you can shift the OD box in while moving, which means your acceleration...
