This stuff is taking up room in our fire station, you want it, you come pick it up, will not arrange shipping or ship it.

We found a good source of used Military tires and figured we would pass it along:
We purchased eight 9.00 x 20 tires for $39 each. All of the tires were like new, and most of them still had the new tire "knobies"
The tires were a mix of Goodyear and Fidelity brands
Gensco Aircraft Tires

Found a used tire place near us that has slightly used Military 12.50 x 20 Michelin's for $125 each. Is this the tire size on the M35A3?
I assume that we would need the bigger A3 style rims if we went with these?
We were actually looking for 11.00 x 20's to replace the 9.00 x 20's on one of...
Our sister volunteer fire department we work and train with has been given a 5-ton 6x6 water tanker.
While we have two 2.5 ton M35A2's, this will be their first military truck.
The truck is supposed to be delivered soon, I was hoping I could post a picture and someone ID the model number...
Pictures from the big grass fire we responded to last Tuesday 1-27-09.
Over 1200 Acres burned.
Our M35A2 W/W pulled out a 5-ton 6x6 and a 3/4 ton 4x4 Chevy that got stuck.
I've seen pictures on here of deuces with the newer "humvee type" electronic light switches installed in place of the 3 lever manual switch.
Does anyone have info on where to get these?
Thanks
We finally put a turbo on our non-turbo 1968 M35W/W. We mainly installed the turbo to cut down on the smoke as we had been getting a lot of complaints.
It took 5 hours, we have a spare engine in our fire station we took the turbo hardware parts off of, including the "D" turbo it had.
Question...
We had a large grass fire yesterday and 2nd and 3rd gear in our M35A2 W/W stopped working, 1st, 4th, and 5th & Reverse work just fine. We were able to dump the water tank and limp it back to the fire station using the remaining gears and the low/high range.
2 years ago we swapped out the tranny...
Our "new" M35A2 brush/grass fire truck. It has already towed several other grass fire trucks out of the mud since being placed in service, we really love the winch, our other M35A2 does not have a winch.
1968 M35A2 W/W non-turbo deuce supplied by the Texas Forest Service. 500-gallon plastic...
Got a pair of 1968 AM General M35A2's. The serial #'s on the trucks are 51 digits apart.
One of them has a LDT-465-1C, the other one has a LD-465-1C. The truck with the turbo engine was rebuilt by the DoD in the 80's, I can find no rebuild stamps on the non-turbo deuce.
Question:
Is it...
Hi all,
Have a leaky head gasket on a M35A2 w/ turbo.
I have most of the 209 & 361 series manuals on disk, but can't seem
to find the "engine overhaul" manual anywhere showing torque
specs, etc. I do have the tool list manual.
The Texas Forest Service gave me the phone number of a...
