The key might be in focussing on making consistent, deliberate shifts again and again instead of trying to run the lowest time, like bracket racing... Be prepared to catch some guff from the regulars at the strip, LOL!!
You must have a different kind of Deuce than I do if you need a dragstrip to run the crap out one, I suspect I could street race to my hearts content with mine but as long as I was in a 55mph zone the cops wouldn't notice even if they were sitting on the side of the road!
Joking...
Help me understand two things:
1) Are MPT tires are just on/off road with more flex in the sidewalls OR do they have a different bead angle, etc. like 16.5 tires? Manufacturers of MPT tires just tout the tires' capabilities and say little about technical aspects of the bead in the results of...
The whole thread should've been deleted three years ago as it was a post about an ongoing auction! My thread about that Boeing 747 on GL was deleted for this very reason, like my silly post would cause someone to run out and start bidding on a scrap 747! rofl
I thought da rules wuz da rules...
Welcome from Lower Alabama!
Title, tag and insurance isn't too bad in 'Bammy, if the truck is pre-1975 you don't need a title, just a bill of sale. If it's an A3 they might give you a hard time but I've already been through that with them, search for my old thread 'fun's over in alabama' for...
When my M880's rad went bad I replaced it with a similar year Dodge pickup part from a chain store, just called around and found the best price. I think I bought one with extra cooling capacity, maybe for a 440 or 'towing', with an extra row of flues...
I'd avoid 'OEM' unless originality is...
100% success here but that's only with one MEP-701a. :-P It still needs a 24v battery to be really portable but I'm not moving it around so it's no biggie to use any two 12v batteries lying around here. The large cover on the fuel tank end of it is missing but I knew that from the GL pics...
Things I've learned over the years: 1) Don't go in the s**t on an excavator w/ weak hydraulics! 2) Be really careful dragging yourself out with that long-stick machine if the hydraulics are strong!
Then cram a little black powder through those drain holes along with some cannon fuse, POW! Be sure to wear protective headgear though, those stakes will come down eventually...
There are a few commercial endeavors the Deuce is pretty good at.
I sold one a few years ago to a guy who contracted to pressure/steam clean heavy equipment at some local pits somewhere, he was tired of tearing up one ton trucks & needed the off-road capabilities our slow green friend offers...
Using BBQ tongs, gently place a burning charcoal briquette atop each broken 2x2, retire to the above mentioned lawnchair and 12-pack to monitor progress...
Had a similar problem in Alabama, State law written to prevent golf carts getting tags had swept up later model MV too. Finally resolved it by quoting Fed code about MV being exempt from the usual vehicle laws AND a Gov finding letter that this exemption transferred to new owners. It'll depend...
