No... they are not the same. The Dodge truck had different rails that fit to their stake pockets locations which were different then the CUCV. I have a 880 top to sell because it didn't fit my 1008. It will fit the the 3/4 ton trailer with adjustments though (too long):-D
If your CUCV is hard starting in 60+ degree weather (and lower) you need to replace the fuel sensor switch located in the Stanadyne 80 fuel filter base. It is round with two wires and held in place with a round spring clipunder the filter. They crack with age and you may or may not see it...
Hi all!
I need to replace my exhaust system. Meineke will do it for $350. But, he wants to end pipes in front of the rear tires pointed down. Any problems with doing it this way? :?:
Don't forget to bypass resistor on firewall. It drops the voltage from 24v to 12v for glow plug power. Otherwise you will only have 4 volts supply to your glow plugs.
Your problem is the fuel sensor switch located behind the fuel filter on the filter base. It is round with 2 wires and is held in place with spring clip. The military knew about the their problem with cracking and was replacing them. Civy trucks don't have this in their Stanadyne 80 filter...
12v conversion

Your problem is a bad fuel pressure sensor in the fuel filter base. It cracks and can leak. It is the round plastic thing held in with spring clip with 2 wires coming from it in the base under the filter. Military knew of problem. Only in military version, not civy. Used for ICE testing...
CUCV Starter
A local auto electric shop can rebuild it for you. I believe Parramore Surplus Company in FL had them for $235? Make sure that the front starter bracket is installed and starter attached to it. It stops starter from moving during starting and saves your flywheel and or starter...
