If I read things correctly, this device is about cooling down the hot rear cylinders it should make no difference in TOTAL on and off time for the fan in a given time period if the period is long enough to make warm up not an issue and loading is identical, ect ect. I'm assuming that no other...
What's the big deal? I'd really like to know so I can learn. The title of the thread is "How long the starter will hold?" and on the photo for the video it clearly states "HMMWV diesel cold start" Seems pretty clear to me, but I'd hate to post a photo of a Humvee atop a mountain with the sun...
Before the two Frame Rail Halves were welded together to make a complete unit, there were two thin sheet metal bulkheads of sorts welded to one of the halves. It's not water tight by any means, but you would not be getting a garden hose or anything like past them. If I remember correctly, they...
The seven vertical grille openings is trademarked by AM General somehow. There was a issue with Chrysler Jeep over that, but it was resolved at some point. I think that because AM General originated as the Military Arm of American Motors Corp, the then owner of Jeep, AM General was allowed to...
The two rear starter bolts are often over torqued, because of their large size. From memory they only get torqued to about 30 lb ft. Make sure that the starter is supported properly at the forward end by the stud that exits the starter body.

I have cut most of the B Cross beam out and reinforced the rear portion that I left with a 1/2" thick piece of aluminum. That little bit of extra space made a big difference. When AMG cut that the cross beam on each side out of the Hummer, they made their rocker panel protection kit a standard...
You didn't press the inboard bearing on backwards did you? The inboard race should just be pushed in by hand after you put the spur gear, bearing assy into the hub. Then the cover with correct amount of spacers holds it all in.
Ya, I know that guy too! He needed my early NOS Right Hand Splash Guard and would find me every year at the Military Meet like we were old friends. After ten years, I let him buy it and I've never seen him again. LOL
I think the more Humvees that get into the hands of "BUBBA" are more Humvees...
If the design you make is as usable as either a hard slantback or a soft cargo cover then you will have an item that you could possibly sell many hundreds of.
I always love seeing photos of my engine being used as reference photos. I had to piece that **** thing together piece by piece back then.
You might pay attention to the flywheel damper and pulley area. That setup is a weird one. it is designed to allow the pulley to rock in relation to the...
The ring that is attached to the steering wheel, should be attached with three screws. Also the two long plastic legs or studs are for locating the ring onto the steering wheel. After the location is found and the screws installed, those long legs get cut off and then you slide the switch assy...
