Here's the part that I don't get (like you care, right?), but:
- I understand that "yellow metal" gears will need a different oil than steel gears, sure (soft metal vs not-so-soft metal)
- But regarding how the gears are cut, like why would the oil "care" (sort of "how do it know").

- Can you maybe mark-up a photo (you know, a red circle or something) to show where you see the pitting/ wear?

I'm figuring indifferent, right? It's the old Chevy/ Ford conundrum ("I drive Chevy, so Chevy is the best" and "I drive Ford, so Ford is the best"). I mean how much better can one (qualified) oil be than another? But maybe there are some...
