M998 HMMWV - V Belt part numbers?
It appears that Gates 7640 is 64 inches long where as Duralast 15635 is 63.5 inches long. Would the longer belt be an issue? -

looking for access cover
Did you get around to doing this? I seem to have a slow fuel leak most likely from the fuel tank gasket. I see a drop beading off after driving. It does not quite pool under the vehicle when stationary. If you did go through replacing the fuel tank gasket, I would like to get some pointers /... -

I just installed a new Cadillac valve. Can one of you please tell me how I can bleed the Cadillac valve for any air pockets after installing ? Thanks in advance. McReddy -

Removing shifter to install back-up light switch
I disagree. I did not have to use a bushing with the reverse switch. You will need a bushing if you use the neutral safety switch for reverse switch. McReddy -

Power for Accessories?
I would suggest tapping into the horn circuit. It is powered only when the switch is turned to run position. You don't have to worry about forgetting to turn a switch off and draining the battery. McReddy -

Removing shifter to install back-up light switch
You don't have to remove the shift mechanism to install the reverse lamp switch. You can do it from underneath. There is a little bump in the rubber boot similar to the one for neutral safety switch. You need to make ahole at the bump to get the reverse lamp switch in and thread it in. Have... -

Yes, you should be able to pull them out at the connectors. 3 of them if I remember correctly. McReddy -

Are you sure you have not accidentally turned the wiper knob? Have you tried turning the wiper knob to see if can turn the wipers off? McReddy -

Can the HMMWV cadillac valve be repaired?
Folks, My hydraulic fan is staying on all the time. I did some tests, there is power / voltage at the Cadillac valve when the temperature is below 220 F. My analysis at this point is that the Cadillac valve is not working. It is quiet with or without voltage at it's connectors. I am wondering if... -
