You need tobe able to run a T.O.S.S. sensor . The later model 4L80E 4X4 trans has this.
I have heard of using the two wheel drive model but how done no research on it.
Still rounding up parts for my conversion, have the transmission, transfer adapter, throttle position sensor and two different types of speed sensors, am working on trans control module problem now. going to try to do all this without buying the compu shift controller. Will post when completed .
Make you a parts list and PM me . I've got enough parts stashed around to put you back together. Be sure to check the end of the crank and the bolt threads. Crank could be thashed.
Hello, and welcome we can always use some more GA. boys. The reason maybe be for the black paint is that our shop painted a bunch of CUCV's black and use them like GSA vechicles.
Sorry for you bad luck, I have a towbar if you decide to go that way. I'm up in Gainesville, Ga. but I work in ATL. be more than glad to bring to Stockbridge if you need it.
Congradulation's , you can probally cruise at 55. I running 37.5 and mine is wound tight around 70. Think about a lift kit or fender triming if you want to run 35's
Had 35's on mine w/ 4" lift and it cleared fine. Went to 37.50's and now I catch a fender every now and then. You can probally get buy with the leafs if you don't get crazy alot
I made mine, I fabbed a a receiver hitch on front that is behind the bumper. The winch is mounted in a cradle. I used nato cable ends on my winch now I can run front or rear or on my other trucks which have the same mounts.
Agree, with Ron intake valve. If truck has been sitting intake valve may just be stuck, I would crack my injector lines one at a time to see which cylinder it is and go from there.
