I checked with Warn winches. He advised me that some series 18 winches have shorter drums making them very close to the series 12 winches. My series 18 is about 1/4" longer in width. I would not have purchased this if it wasn't used on humvee's but again it was advertised for Hummer. Guess...
Hello, I have purchased a Warn Series 18 winch that was advertised as for a Humvee. I have found they usually install the series 12 in the Humvees. The series 18 is a little longer (26.51") where the series 12 is 26.25". Can anyone tell me how much frame clearance they have with the Warn...
Hello, I have just purchased a 2007 HMMWV M1165A1 and waiting for delivery. It currently has a hardtop with flat turret included. It has no doors and apparently the armor has been taken off. I have been advised the actual up-armored flat doors will not work as the rear sides are flat. My...
Hello All, I have purchased a new steering wheel and horn buttom (wire attached). It looks like a newer style wheel but fits onto the spline properly. The horn button wire appears that it would go straight down the tube. I can not find any exit hole/slot on the steering tube. Can anyone...
Thanks for your assistance. I went ahead and was able to install it properly. I had to turn it a little at first and than it just slipped into place. All is well. Thanks again, Dennis
I just reinstalled my GAZ engine and transmission. After getting the engine and trans bolted down I went to install my transmission Fork Handle and can not remember exactly how it went back in?? Inside the top area of the trans. I see a double hard wire type part crossing over the area where...
Cab Now Lifting!
Hello Suprman, Just wanted to thank you and the others for all the input. As you mentioned after finding the black reservoir box it was very low on fluild. After replenishing with fluid it now is working fine. Also checked for leaks and all looks good. Thanks again!
When attempting to lift the cab with the pump the pump made an empty banging type sound? Someone mentioned NDT had a good thread on pump rebuilding. Who is the NDT as I am not familiar? I will check the pump tomorrow. I now have a good idea on its location. Thanks! PS Will also check the...
Hello All, Went to attempt to lift my cab. It went up approx. half way and had to use the cab manual jack to lift rest of way up. My manual says to check the hydra. reservoir but the diagram they show does not appear to match my truck? I also noticed the manual says: "If Equiped"? I would...
FINAL UPDATE: After checking a number of areas on why I was NOT getting any oil up to my rocker arms on my UAZ469 engine (overhead valve replacement engine) on my 1955 GAZ69AM I finally found out the trouble! To recap I had good oil pressure from my gauge. The oil channel from my head down...
I checked the UAZ manual and the engine number I have appear to be 100S770 YAEAHOB CCCP. Below this and vertical appear to be: Y113 K213 10020 all on different lines. Mu GAZ69AM is a 1955 and have a replaced engine which I thought was a UAZ with the overhead valves. I have a spin...
Thanks for asking about the number of the engine. Mine looks to be either YM3 or Y113, that's all on that line. I have a vertical line one the same side of K21 3 with 10020 below it vertically. Thanks, Dennis
The only manual I have is in Russian and I do read/speak Russian. It can be either a Full flow engine or a By Pass restrict flow engine. I never knew it but there are different type filters. The early American Jeeps for example had restrict flow engines I've been told. I really don't want to...
Hello, I have been having a problem with my UAZ469 4 cylinder overhead valve engine not getting any oil to the rocket arms. I had just installed a new Fram oil filter and have been told there are two types of oil filters. One is a "Full Flow" and the other "By Pass flow". Does anyone know...
The have taken the head is off again since I had replaced the old head gasket with a new one. The head doesn't appear clogged. I have cranked it over with the head off and nothing is coming out of the exit hole for oil supply to the rockers when they would be installed?
