Dumb question. Is it better to keep looking ?

I truely hope you get one soon. You've been patient and that's commendable. I made sure I was right on Govplanet at the end. (Can't stand shooting blind) I realy wanted one going up on the 10th. This just fell in my lap, couldn't pass it up.

Dumb question. Is it better to keep looking ?

I wondered if any of the ebayers were SS members. I defently would have bought a running rig from someone just not for some of their prices. 13 isn't bad....!!

Dumb question. Is it better to keep looking ?

Hope you had good luck today. I wasn't bidding to seriously and won a running M1078 for just above 5. Needs a few screws and a couple handles but its a nice running rig.

I have set aside enough money to buy/bid on the good rated/running M1078's. Have talked with the folks at GP. Ready to pull the trigger and start bidding. Im not going to rush the process, if it's ment to be it will be, if not there's always anouther auction. Still need to talk to a couple...

Dumb question. Is it better to keep looking ?

Yeah I'd be looking to NC, where it seems thre are more rigs to bid on. Also have family in NC and my dad buys for the local Dodge, Jeep dealer at the auction. So shipping wouldn't be as bad, if I can't make it road worthy there. 2 weeks ago one went in PA for $12,500 on eBay. I'd rather buy at...

New member from Maine, looking at buying a Stewart and Stevenson M 1078.

I have come to the conclusion that I wll be keeping my F350, that I've already put a new motor and refurbished transmission in to plow with. I wouldn't want to use a nice rig like the M1078 to plow with. Plowing is hard on equipment and parts are to hard to come by for these rigs to use one to...

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome...! This would be the largest truck I've plowed with in the 25 yrs I've been plowing and am aware of the damage it could cause to a plow. A friend of mine drives a commercial dump truck with a Boss 8.5 v plow and is always doing damage to his plow. The...

Well I guess hauling my excavator or another M1078 on a trailer is out of the question with a LMTV I'd definitely need the five ton MTV. I really don't want a 6x6.
