Four bolts from the underside. Nothing substantial. If it's American I'd say it's about a 1/4 x 20, maybe even smaller. Likewise metric.
Notice the pot metal reinforcement under the plastic. I'm not sure if the bolts thread into the pot metal or directly into the plastic.
Internal...
I don't get it.
The tach says 2200 rpm. The speedo says 51 mph. The GPS thingy says 55 mph. The EGT says ?, it's too blurry, maybe 1000 degrees. But the boost is almost 30 psi?
Perhaps the boost gauge is not calibrated properly.
My truck, straight from GL, did 55 mph if I wasn't carefully...
International Harvester
Freightliner
Notice that my Topkick (Kodiak) booster posted previously uses a lunette-eye push rod to connect to the pedal.
The IH & Freightliners use clevis push rods. I would suggest getting the booster & the pedal from the same vehicle.
Here's a link the the...
There are some crude measurements for you. At least it gives you an idea of what to expect.
Don't hold your breath. I still have to do some research before beginning this upgrade. I have to decide on brake lines, adapters, etc.
I'm even considering leaving the Deuce airpacks on the truck &...
Various HydroMax pics
For those who are contemplating a HydroMax conversion, here are some pics of what the booster, master cylinder, and pedal assembly look like:
Upside down pedal
Pedal as it would hang under the dash (from a GMC Topkick)
Self-explanatory
Combination power steering...
Jesus,
I'll let you know when I get all the parts. Right now I'm considering re-tubing with Cunifer. When I decide whether or not to spend the money on that then I'll start the upgrade.
FedHill Brake Line - Where to buy brake line, fuel line, brake line flaring tools, brake line nuts and...
Bill,
Spicergear figured out a great upgrade for that a few years ago. He installed a HydroMax upgrade.

I've already got a complete Hydromax system out of a GMC 6500 Topkick...
This guy. I want him to understand the difference between complete hydrostatic versus hydraulically assisted steering:
But, as usual, it devolved into a discussion about the safety of full hydro.
I think that's a great idea. I'm doing the same; already have the pump ready to go, 1500 psi...
Geez, you're up late tonight. The kid said full hydro still steers when it fails. That is incorrect.
Fan belts, even new ones, can shred. I gave you a true personal experience with that. No pump = no steering, no matter how leak-proof your hydraulic lines are. There's only so much fluid...
Fan belts can shred. It happened to a friend's truck while we were on the freeway. He had manual steering in his truck so it was no big deal. We pulled over, put on his emergency-splice fan belt, and proceeded. If that happens with full hydro you're done for ... no pump = no pressure = no...
No, we are not talking about the same thing. In traditional power steering you can still steer the vehicle if the pump or a hose goes out. This is what you refer to as "taking muscle". It is common for off-roaders to add an assisting cylinder to the system. This is the type you are referring...
The information can be found in TM 9-2330-324-14&P section 0033 00-5 which is page 163 if you have it in .pdf format.
There are two hexagonal adjusters on the backing plate. On the driver's side they are at 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock. On the passenger side they are at 11 o'clock and 5 o'clock...
UncleMikey, thanks for the pics for perspective. I'm doing exactly the same thing. Bought a pair of step tanks off of heavytruckparts.net last year for that exact purpose. In fact, they look like the same model of tank.
You know what they say, Great Minds ...
Usually those tanks are...
Let me ask a silly question. Did you try this with the door open or closed?
I thought that I had window crank problems because the window would barely roll down then stop.
But then I realized that when the door is open it rolls up and down just fine.
The window was catching the side of the...
Most of the noise is coming from the firewall, floorboard, and windshield. It needs a hood blanket, soundproofing sprayed on the underside, proper boots on the shifters & pedals, and Rhinolining or similar material inside the cab. Better sealing of the doors & windshield would also help.
If...
What about the opposite problem? I have a throttle handle that won't stay out. I've rotated it at all angles six ways from Sunday. No matter what angle the handle is at, it still creeps back in.
What way are the teeth supposed to face to keep the throttle out?
