Removing surge brake system, but keeping parking brake?

In the picture marked 'DSC05118.JPG', is this showing the bolts and clamps holding the body to the frame? Ordered the hitch parts today. Just need to get a few sawhorses and empty the trailer out to get started on this rebuild...

Removing surge brake system, but keeping parking brake?

Trying to source the four bolt channel piece. For a hauler, why would I need a bike racK? This goes to the transfer station and picks up furniture the wife finds. I still haven't used it for what I bought it for, almost two years ago. Yeah, haul dirt....

    Value of 1943 Willys MB?

Well, considering they make heavier electric truck, a WWII era Jeep just might be too light for the job. Of course adding batteries will help keep it from flying away.

Removing surge brake system, but keeping parking brake?

That's what harleyhouse did, and is what I plan on doing. Just need the parts to get it going and get more details on what he did on the tongue itself.

Removing surge brake system, but keeping parking brake?

I want to be able to get to everything to remove any rust and repaint the trailer. It'll still have the tub attached when I'm done. harleyhouse used an impact wrench, according to his thread, but that even seems extreme. 'Blue wrench'. Yeah, I'm hiring out any welding tasks. I just like how...

Removing surge brake system, but keeping parking brake?

Is it possible? Or is it all or nothing? Kinda thinking of what harleyhouse did, http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?82301-Rebuilding-MY-m101a2-BY-harleyhouse&highlight= except keeping it as a utility trailer, not a camping trailer. Mostly going to modify the tongue to make it a little...

Finally getting some use out of the deuce!

I haven't watched real time TV in a few years. I also don't have all my pre-Vietnam trucks designations down yet either.

Finally getting some use out of the deuce!

Way more brave than I. What's the ice thickness there? I think having two 5+ton (Empty weight) rigs so close to each other on ice of fairly good thickness isn't an issue? Someone can correct me on the actual weight of the 211 and the van truck.

M1102 from Barstow to Sacramento. Logistic help!

My only problem is, I don't weld. The other issue was I wanted to be able to push this around on it's own, without having to lift it by hand or hooking it up to my truck. Thing weighs just a bit, especially when loaded for dump runs or when hauling furniture home.

Confused about CUCV and CUCV II

M1102 from Barstow to Sacramento. Logistic help!

I got a 1500 lb wheel from a truck/trailer supply store. Bolted right on the A Frame. It might be more than it needs, but it also has a bigger wheel (8", I think) than the 4 or 5 inch they usually have on trailers. I didn't want something that would sink in the dirt too much and also needed...
