Ok, I will check the ground and see if anything is loose or corroded. But as mentioned before, bad ground usually causes the light to not work, not to burn out.
My non turbo M109 does not do too good - usually around 6 MPG at 55-58 MPH. What is the recommended valve adjustment interval on these multifuel engines?
I never adjusted mine to date, I assume they are screw and nut adjusters.
I seem to have a problem with the left front headlight on my M109. For some reason, the low beam filament burns out on it quite often. I have gone through at least three replacement lights in the last two or threel years. The high beam works OK. The right headlight is fine.
The wiring seems...
I got a pair of new wiper arms from a surplus dealer and they do not fit my wiper motor shafts. I compared them to the old ones and it looks like the bushing is different on the new ones. It is not recessed in the back like the old wiper arm bushing is, and there is not enough exposed threaded...
If it is a "spray type", it will have a nozzle on it. LOL. Seriously though, look in the cab and see if you have an air transfer case retrofit kit installed.
I think that bypassing the fuel density compensator on the Bosch injection pump on a multifuel engine is a good idea if you want to use biodiesel as fuel. I actually bought a kit someone sold for this purpose, but I never installed it. Any thoughts on this? Would I benefit from this mod with...
Worrying about a 1/2 extra quart of oil in a diesel engine with 8 quart capacity or more is pointless. Don't bother, it will not do anything. If you overfilled it by say 3 quarts, then some foaming could occur, but I seriously doubt you would have a problem even then.
My wishful thinking is that the chunks came from some oil container that military used to change the differential oil on these trucks, but that's just one possibility.
I bought my locking door handles in 2002 from Extreme Off Road Equipment. Their address was 851 Charlotte Highway, Fairview, NC 28730. Phone number 828-628- 0058. Their website, http://www.extremeoffroadequipment.com, is no longer active, so maybe they went out of business. The cost of door...
Yes. I have bought locking door handles from this outfit that makes them. I found their add in the Military Vehicles magazine. I do not remember who it was as I bought them years ago, but it was an easy installation, just remove the old handle and screw on the locking one. They work great...
Cops here in Florida are stopping motorists with non functional license plate lights. I do not have any on my deuce, as it is a military vehicle. I used a galvanized bracket from a marine store to mount the license plate between the two bumperettes in the back but I do not have a license...
When draining the differential oil on my middle axle, I found some metal particles that came out with oil. These were not shavings, but larger metal bits, about the size of a pencil eraser or slightly smaller. They looked like bits of metal that have been chewed up by rotating gears. Could...
I use NAPA 1133 oil filters for my deuce LDS engine and the filters come only with the lower canister gaskets. No small upper gasket that goes under the canister bolt head is provided. I have been trying to find these smaller gaskets for some time with no luck. Anybody knows where to get them...
