Bug screens in front of deuce radiator...

I agree with wreckerman, a prefabbed home bugscreen approximately the same size ( or as close as possible) would be the best to prevent clogging your rad with bugs. Add a couple of zip ties and your in business.

1944 MB and GPW barn finds

Just my 2 cents here, if they are in good shape, I personally would leave them in origional condition.

Can a 8.3 Cummins go into a deuce?

How about an 8.2 Detroit fuel pincher V-8? We ran these engines in our deuces up here in Canada. Instead of a manual shift tranny, we had Allison MT643 automatics behind them.

    Multifuel Automatic Transmisson?

Hi Welldigger. The Canadian Deuces had an 8.2 litre Detroit fuel pincher 4 stroke engine, not a 2 stroker. Although I have heard of some people have installed a 6V53 into them, maybe someone up in Alaska. Anybody know for sure?

New Member, New M105 Trailer, Lessons Learned

Just going to throw my 2 cents into the ring. If and that is a big if, your trailer had broken loose from the pintle hitch, your safety chains would have slid up and off the diagional brace, and your trailer would have gone where it wanted to. What you could have done is passed each chain under...

    Ghost lighting problem

I have had the same problem up here in Canada with a 3 arm light switch installed in a 5/4 ton Chevy. The switch would warm up and the breaker would trip, usually at the worst possible time, when cresting a hill or going around a curve. As Gunzy said swap out for a known good one.

    Hidden deuce finds

Up here in Montreal, I work for 202 Workshop depot and we regularly receive vehicles from everywhere. When I first started here, we received a batch of vehicles coming back from tour in Bosnia. They were supposed to be "clean" but a buddy of mine found 2 live grenades inside. More recently...

Back up beeper for a larger MVs.

Up here in Canada, we are taught in the military to always park in such a way (when ever possible) that you do not have to back out of a parking spot. This includes being in the field or on civvy street. Driving foreward out of a parking situation is almost always safer than backing out. When...

Deuce Differences in the 1970's and 80's..?

True, they don't have the dual circuit braking system. That would have been a smart mod to do. But from what I have seen in the M3 A3 parts and repair manuals, it is do-able. Just need the parts and the know how.

Deuce Differences in the 1970's and 80's..?

Hi Rustystud. Up here in Canada we had long frame MLVW's built in brand new around 1982-83. We didn't have many, but they existed. This one has an extended shelter on it, some with HIAB cranes mounted behine the cabs, and one with a big hydraulic driven auger for the engineers, also behind the cabs.
