There is a seller on Ebay who makes an adapter which allows you to use a 2" receiver hitch below the stock rear pintle hitch. It's a bolt on application.
The seller is "1gr8dealwholesale" on Ebay.
It costs $70.00
As above, went to a firearms auction and came home with a excellent condition ex-Marine 1967 Johnson M762 3/4 tom flat bed trailer. $550 which included two receiver type mounted pintle hitches. the little trailer is in just amazing shape. The tires are just okay, buy will do for now. No problem...
Replaced the drivers side inner fender. It was rusted out. Found a replacement at the local junk yard off a Suburban.. It apparently had some issues with oil leakage as oil was ever where under the hood including on the inner fenders. Well that issues helped preserve the inner fenders in as new...
Also had a actual hole in the body where one of the NBC mount holes was. Cut out the bad parts and mitigated the remaining rust, then welded in a patch. It was right over the body support so it was easy to weld up.. It needs a bit more grinding before I paint.
Some of the rust issues. A few rot holes under the door sill plates. Dealt with stopping the rust and made some patch plates (pounded to match the shape of the bottom of the body) to weld onto the underside of the body. I'm also going to use panel bond to make the plates really stick and make...
They are nice. No complaints. My drivers seat has a tear in the vinyl and the cover does a great job covering the tear.
Here are a few more pic's of the seat covers installed.
Had this for about a year. 1986 CUCV only a bit of rust, which i'm mitigating. 86K miles. I'm in the process of refinishing the interior. It needs all the window glass rubbers... as well as a bit of love and replacing missing pieces NFOKMO...
I have a 1986 M1009 CUCV. I want to have the ability to use my trailers existing flat four plug with my CUCV. So my question is instead of splicing in a flat four plug adapter, does anyone make a "tee" type adapter which simply snaps into the existing connectors which lead to the military...
Changed the rear diff fluid today on my 1986 M1009 Blazer... When I pulled the cover I found what looks like limited slip in the rear end. My question is do I need to add limited slip lube in addition to the 80/90 gear oil?
The Lube order in the TM makes no mention of it needing any, but I'm...

I really agree about the M101 A2 and A3 being the best overall utility trailers. I've had a few, and sold all but the one in the pic's. I got it about two years ago, and it was brand new. Not a mark in the bed. I am curious as to some of the markings. It has a plate, which has the manufacturer...
Behr on my M101A2 The first pic is when I picked it up in Yermo Ca. The others was after It was repainted Same color using the US paint codes to match. The stuff once hard is really tough. I have hauled literally tons of sand and gravel unloading it with a shovel, only minor scratches on the bed...
