I picked up my new M35A2C today. Once I got through security and got signed in with the GL folks I started topping off all the fluids as required and then one of the fine gents from the GL staff brought another M35 over to give my new truck a jump start. I brought a set of 6TL batteries from...
I found a person selling a M103 with a gas powered genset in the local paper.
I have a M103 that is missing the bows, so I asked him if he would be willing to sell the bows seperately. Anyway his was response was "it depends how much I am willing to pay for them." What is the going rate for a...
All this reading about 5 tons is pushing me over the edge. If I could find a decent 5 ton tractor in my area, I would buy it and put a deuce bed on it.
I have looked at a 2 trucks that were for sale by private parties, but they were in very poor shape.
The “j” pipe on my M35A2 will need to be replaced in the near future and I was thinking about going to 4” diameter pipe instead of 3.5”. Has anyone gone down this road before or have any thoughts/observations to share? I am hoping that the larger exhaust may help lower the EGTs a little and...
Well I tried to purchase the M756A2 that wsucougarx was going to purchase, but someone else beat me to it. BTW - I checked with him before I contacted the seller. It would have been a nice truck to restore. I hope the guy the bought it appreciates it. I was playing email and phone tag with the...
I recently purchased a M103A3, but it is missing the (2) formed channels that run fore and aft and support the gen set. Does anyone know where I can get the channels or where I can find the dimensions so I can fab my own?
I will upload a picture later, since right now this feature does not seem...
Bought a M103A3, AN/MJQ-16 this past Saturday and towed it home from Beaverton, Oregon. I towed the trailer the 160 mile return trip with my 3/4 W250 Cummins and the trailer towed like a dream. I have attached a pic of the trailer and I wondered if it was common to have the panel welded to the...
The plastic ball joint on the end of the governor linkage rod in the picture below is split on my generator, can someone tell me where I can find the part # for the ball joint end or the entire assembly?
Thank you,
C. D. Hunter
My truck has the foam insulation kit and I need to remove to take care of some rust issues. Whatever adhesive they used to install it works darn good and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestion on how to remove it? The putty knife/tug-o-war process is not the greatest. aua
Thanks,

Can anyone give me the specs on the startng batteries for my MEP-002A?
The PO installed some batteries that are smaller than the battery tray and seem to lack the CCAs to reliably start the genset.
Thank you,
Chris

I found a MEP-002a with a Onan diesel with only 800 hours on the clock.
It runs real nice, but I want to get the TMs for it so can learn how to operate it properly and perform all the PMs. Does anyone know where I can get the TMs for this beastie?
Thanks,
Chris
I am thinking about buying one of Uncle Sam's old diesel gensets and I found one for sale about 200 miles away. The guy claims not to know a whole about the genset he is selling, but he did say it is an Onan 10KW genset with a Deutz 2 cylinder air cooled diesel with 3000 hours, and it runs...
Thie past weekend I was PMing my M35A2 and while I was greasing chassis I noticed the the positive battery cable that goes to the starter motor is just inches from the front driveshaft when the battery box is in the stowed postion.
Can someone tell me the proper route for the battery cable...
Well - I made a some progress installing the frame extensions, winch brackets and remounting the bumper. I probably will not get the winch installed until I go through it this winter. Besides after reading some of the posts on this fine site, I think will install the winch drive shaft before I...
I am in the process of installing a winch on my deuce and I noticed that there is a 1/4" space between the lifing bracket and the frame. When I removed the lifting brackets from the bumper there were no plates or spacers present. Am I missing a part? :cookoo:
Also, I did not see any mention of...
