This are just the Grote marker lights. I put the 5 yellow ones on top of bed and was adding the 3 red lights between taillights. The 5 yellow lights work great but these 3 red ones are the ones causing me problems.

Anybody have any problems with any of the new old stock led marker lights? I bought 6 new in the static wrap lights. I put 3 on my M817 without any problems and they work great. I didn't need any ground other then mounting bolts. Mounted the other 3 on my 929a2 and they worked for a few seconds...

Thanks for all the input. I ended up pulling the flasher unit out my m817 and trying it in my 929 and all the lights worked fine. So I now know the culprit is a bad flasher unit.

I had to add the 5 lights on the top front and the 3 rear lights between tail lights for the inspection guy to pass it on my m817. I'm adding the lights to my 929 right now.

Tested with voltmeter and have 24v going into flasher module and 24v back out but no flashing so im guessing flasher module is bad.

The light switch is on. The light on the turn signal lever comes on and stays on it just doesn't flash. All other light functions work just no turn or hazard.

There are no lights flashing or staying on outside of the truck. The flasher unit under the dash isn't doing anything either.

No, the golf course job wasn't me but I have seen that video. I don't have to worry about bridge length here. It pulls the Excavator okay but would be better if they didn't have that 3rd to 4th gear 1000rpm drop. All my work is in a farming community so I don't go far and this setup works great...

I have a BMY 929A2 dump truck. The directional signal switch light comes on for left/right and hazard but doesn't flash just kind of dims . Is the turn signal flasher bad.

I pull a 36,000# excavator with a 20 ton Eager Beaver tag trailer behind my m817 all the time. I have 2' sideboards on mine and can haul 12 tons of gravel. Just bought a BMY 929a2 dump truck but haven't got to use it much yet. Here's a couple of pics of some of the stuff I haul in mine. Works...

Yeah it was #11 that was backed out. Hoping that's where the oil is coming out of. Its looks like its there or around shift boot. Thanks for the help. Couldn't find that in the TM.

My M817 is leaking oil out of the top of the transmission! Pretty sure its coming from the bolt that screws in horizontal under the shifter boot as it was screwed out about 1/4". What is this bolt?

I just made a 650 mile trip with a dump and got between 5-6mpg running 1800 rpm with super singles

It rode real good with the 15.5/20's but they were really weather checked so I switched them in WI. Not sure if it was the tires or just the Illinois roads that made it a little rougher.

Just got back from my first recovery, a 1974 M818 converted to a dump truck. Truck was in good shape and road ready. I even made it down to visit Rodney in Marshfield WI and he set me up with some nice 14r20's on combat rims. Glad to have her home and in the shed after 650 miles.

It sounds like the tires are in pretty good condition. Ive just heard some negative stuff on the XL's and split rings. I was also a little concerned about there not being a spare to match the super singles. Would it be better to get it with the stock wheels and tires and find some combat wheels...

I'm looking at a M817 Dump that already has Michelin xl's super singles with the split ring wheels. Should I be leery of this tire/wheel combo for a 700 mile trip? The truck has an original tire/wheel for the spare.
