I had the Gator at the USMC birthday bash at Cookies Tavern in Philly last November. Put it to work hauling kegs of beer. With the sides down we had 7 kegs of beer for the boys. Made that run 3 times( once every 45 minutes)
The generator motor is the next best thing to an original mule crate motor. The spin on filter set up is the way to go as the canister set up on the original motors can be tricky on the reinstall and prone to leaks. I have on each of my 3 mules. It is not the correct piece but it sure makes...
Very nice. I picked one up 6 months ago. Found all the parts I needed on ebay. I replaced all the fenders and seats. New water pump and head gasket along with injectors and glow pljgs runs like a deeere now!

I recently picked up an M Gator. Did a bunch of work to the engine, rebuilt water pump, head gasket, rebuilt the injectors,new fenders and cleaned a bunch of sand out of it. Plus the usual filter and fluid changes and new seats. It's running well now so it's ready for paint.. Any suggestions...
The best alternative if you do not install a new one is to remove the old one, clean it with carb cleaner, fill it with light weight oil and let it sit for a few days before you reinstall it
