Fuel filters or lack thereof and stalling.

The primary was in place, and when I pulled it I didn't see any water in the housing. It was the secondary and final that didn't get installed. The secondary and final housing weren't terribly clean when I pulled them. Yes the stalling after quick decel/stops was there but nowhere near as bad...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Took mine out to pick up a order of steel tube, plate, etc. to make a mount for a 5000lb autocrane and my welder in the bed. Well my DD is a VW rabbit pickup and the guys said "what happened to the green VW?" I replied "I fed it after midnight" Then I stayed out too late late 02:30 I was hoping...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I took it out and got it inspected had to go to 3 stations, even though I explained (its a ex-military truck, registered for 13000/18000lbs, old) and I get there and get a "we can't inspect that" Though the last station did and it cost less than when inspect my VW truck only $58! Then I took...

    Blew out transmission maybe

I finally got the transmission is last night at 11:30 during a thunder storm laying down in the grass that was a wet soggy mess! Got the shafts in today, and found the grass was also a bunch of little poison ivy plants starting to grow in it.... I then got a tarp to lay on and changed the oil in...

    Blew out transmission maybe

Well I finally got down to the truck the other day, and the transmission is out! It only took some used 2x4's and a pile of deck screws and a harbor freight chain hoist. Easiest transmission pull I've ever done, no swearing, no heaving, no trying to bench press a and wondering if its going to...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

The ford leaf is actually upside down, you cant see in in the picture but is is slightly curved, when I was mocking it up and not taking pictures it seemed to match the curve of the bottom leaf while not exact but close. Well if it evens up the packs that is what I'm looking for, it I have to...

    Blew out transmission maybe

Well I'll see how thick the clutch disc is if I can get down there today and make a hoist to help pull the transmission. Well that is after I throw all the future engineers of america out of lab for waiting till the week before finals to start there capstone projects.

Well going to get pull out trans very soon, along with some front leafs to single out the rear. Now its a debate if I want to put in a new clutch disc and 3 arm pressure plate while I have the trans out.

    Blew out transmission maybe

Well needless to say this transmission is dead I might be able to splice 2 or 3 together to make a working unit. I don't think there is a single gear except first and reverse that is not missing teeth. From looking at it I see the 4th/5th syncro is broken, and the pins are in the bottom of the...

Well I finally have a day to go down and look at it, now that its down pouring and I'll get soaked.... But I'm packing up sockets and tools anybody know the size socket for the transmission output flange nut? I'm looking at pictures I'm guessing 1 1/8" or 1 1/4"

    Blew out transmission maybe

That sound like exactly what happen other than I was shifting into 4th. I'll see if I can get down there after work tomorrow with a tool kit and pull the top cover. Hopefully it is just the bearing retainer. I'm thinking does the rear output bearing sit flush with the case? its out about 3/16 of...

    Blew out transmission maybe

I limped it back so I dont think the output shaft snapped unless is was moving the deuce through friction of the broken pieces. I'll have to see if I can get down there with a tool set this week after work and pull the cover. But I'll still have to find a replacement for that tail section.
